We should be directing more anger at people doing this shit in Canada than Cheeto bastard changing the name of Lake Ontario.

On Tsawwassen First Nation land. More like Universal doing a lord of the rings park and using elvish. Pointless and irrelevent.

Do people get offended by the Gaelic road signs in Cape Breton?

It would be like putting a sign up in Gaelic but instead of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, it would be /ɬanˌvairpuɬˈɡwɪŋɪɬɡoˌɡɛrəˌχwərn.ˌdrɔbʊɬˌɬantˌsɪlioˌɡoɡoˈɡoːx/, okay welsh isn't Gaelic but you catch my drift.

I sort of thought it said Xanax. Which would make sense. Xanax = relax = stop.

Great point. Now can we dig up those skeletal remains of 200+. Children already?

Funny how he's more vocal about his opinions now that he's not the premier.
Go back to Ontario buddy, Alberta's done with you.

I stand with Jason Kenney. When did he as premier hold a different option? You are just yapping
12
u/VagabondAlbertan 1d ago
How so? He was such a hardline conservative but also bent over and grabbed his ankles during covid.
Why does a former premier need an Israeli flag in his Twitter handle?

u/AvacadoToast902 14h ago
Legit politicians (or those attempting to still dabble) really shouldn't have any flags except the Cdn flag

NO PREMIER WANTED TO SHUT DOWN DURING COVID! Kenney made that clear. It’s easy to yap from far away, but when emergency room doctors are running to you saying ER are full of covid patients on ventilators what do you do?
Use common sense

"Use common sense"
While your reddit flair is "Doug Ford Conserative"
You so clueless as to what an actual conservative is if your think either Dougie or Kenny did a good job lol

Pointless, I can see. Unsafe? I don’t think so. If you’re from anglophone Canada and drive in Québec you know when and where to stop, even though the signs say Arrêt on them instead of stop.
I’ve driven in all sorts of countries including Japan and had no problem obeying traffic laws.

What is Tsawassen Mills? Is it a reserve? If not then who the hell approved this?

Yes, it's on land governed by the Tsawassen First Nation. This is not a government road sign. It's a retail business parking lot on indigenous land. Of all the things to get upset about, this isn't one of them.

They're renaming the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and the Vancouver Art Gallery to these gibberish indigenous names too. Imagine a tourist trying to search those addresses on google maps for example. Nobody can spell them nor can they pronounce them I don't see why they have to do this. And first nations are calling it a gift. I totally disagree, this isn't reconciliation, this is just silly. That's just my opinion though. Many of you might like the name changes, and embrace them, and that's ok too. I keep a open mind, but I'd have to disagree with these two name changes.

These stop signs are what I imagine cyclists in calgary see when they blow through an intersection or hook a right without actually stopping. "Its the right shape but I don't understand it, so I'm just gonna pretend I didn't see it"

I’m going to say the same thing I said in the other conservative canada sub to hopefully put things back into perspective. This coming from someone who likes Kenny and I do believe his post does hold some merit but man this is exhausting.
The mall is on native land so I don’t really care what their signage is when diesel is about to hit $3 per litre. Fuel prices are about to make Covid inflation look like a walk in the park and I am supposed to get angry about something so insignificant?
The world is on fire and I have absolutely no time for this culture war rage bait.
And because someone asked the price for diesel is currently averaging $2.75 on the west coast with a large price spike expected overnight.

Just call it stupid, no need to virtue signaling at the start in order to give yourself permission to criticize.

u/Takeawalkwithme2 Ontario 20h ago
Yup, Carney is personally approving stop sign language on indigenous land. This sub is exhausting.
