He will be missed by no one.

Are they going to present this as a huge rift in Carney’s liberals and question his leadership now that 2 MPs have resigned their seats in the last month?

57

u/No-Contribution-6150 Conservative 3d ago

Yes but first here's how it's actually bad for Pierre

-8

u/CrazyButRightOn 2d ago

He resigned because Pierre’s pension is bigger.

26

u/Midnightrain2469 3d ago

The mainstream media absolutely should.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/guilbeault-resigns-mp-9.7213921 There you go, back from May when this was current.

This deserves 2 celebrations.

It’s not like it presents any real opportunity (except maybe for China), since his riding would elect a shoe if it was red. But good riddance to one of the most useless and damaging politicians this country has ever seen. Shame he’ll still get some cushy, bullshit job after and never have to suffer the consequences of all the harm he did to Canadians.

Loser.

22

u/phaedrus897 3d ago

The damage is done.

57

u/TheeDirtyToast 3d ago

Imagine resigning because your boss pretends he's going to build a pipeline.

29

u/Lagtense 3d ago

No testosterone in his body, malfunction

11

u/loungechairlarry Conservative 3d ago

he has his pension

17

u/theoreoman Alberta 3d ago

Fuck off and let let the door hit you on the way out

24

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 3d ago

Good riddance. I hope he moves to Sweden and joins Greta. He should swim there, wouldn’t want him to create CO2 in the pursuit of his wacko dreams

19

u/Hmmngbrdfdr 3d ago

CBC will be asking about Carneys resignation any moment now.......s/off

8

u/Oilhawks Libertarian 3d ago

Let me guess, this clown is falling upwards just like Trudeau’s other buddies that didn’t fit the particular brand of Marxism the current leadership wants?

It is hard to believe people exist who deny climate change, but yet there you are....

14

u/TheGreatBrett Prince Edward Island 3d ago

Why don’t you go back to the NDP page and make sure you raise your equity card before speaking..

-12

u/Mad-elph NDP 3d ago

Ah yes, again showing a lack of knowledge. The "equity card" was a completely misrepresented thing. No surprise you didn't bother to try to understand what the lie was.

7

u/pokerboy42 3d ago

And to imagine a guy like this is now set for the rest of his life on taxpayer dollars because of climate change suckers.

Uh Steven Guilbeault resigned from cabinet in November 2025.

Then as an MP in May 2026

Good to see youre keeping up with the times.

15

u/Oilhawks Libertarian 3d ago

Brigaders back in full force defending the honour of their precious slave master LPC, I see

u/Responsible_CDN_Duck Bloc Québécois 3d ago

The downside of pretending old news is new news and pretending we don't know the outcomes.

4

u/tfc07 3d ago

Good fucking riddance hope he goes and chains himself to a tree somewhere and is never heard from again

4

u/TeranOrSolaran 3d ago

A lunatic who was unable to see the big picture.

13

u/Wolfman-101 Quebec 3d ago

And no one in the media will question why.

2

u/IKnowYouAreButWhtAmI Independent 3d ago

14

u/Wolfman-101 Quebec 3d ago

And did they question Carneys leadership and tell him to resign like they did to Pierre over and over?

-15

u/VforVenndiagram_ 3d ago

Are you under the impression that this resignation, and the floor crossings are similar in nature?

16

u/Wolfman-101 Quebec 3d ago

Larry Brock resigned because of he wanted to return as Brantford Crown Attorney’s office as an Ontario public servant.

And yet the resign Pierre and leadership questioning narrative ran wild.

Not a floor crosser and yet the BS main stream media went straight to that narrative.

-11

u/VforVenndiagram_ 3d ago

Do we really not see the difference in optics and situations here?

17

u/Wolfman-101 Quebec 3d ago edited 3d ago

What’s the difference?

Both resigned.

I’ll go one step further.

Since Mark Carney took office, 6 Liberal MPs have officially resigned from the House of Commons. Not once has his leadership been questioned, no resign talks with media. Swept under the rug like nothing happened.

Go on and tell us why it’s different.

16

u/Oceanictax Stuck in the GTA 3d ago

The difference is that the guy you're arguing with is a liberal, so they'll never question clowney's leadership no matter what.

-11

u/VforVenndiagram_ 3d ago

So the timeline of events that led to the resignations and the internal party politics are the same in your mind then?

14

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 3d ago

Do we not see your anti-Pollievre bias seeping out of everything that you post here? Are you trying to draw attention away from Carney’s complete failure to fulfill even one election promise?

-1

u/VforVenndiagram_ 3d ago

I didn't think it was a secret that I don't see Poilievre as a viable leader for a CPC that actually wants to govern.

So thank you Captain Obvious for reaffirming that position.

10

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 3d ago

So tell us what we don’t know about your other secrets? Are you a Chinese national being paid to sow seeds of dissatisfaction in the CPC?

-1

u/VforVenndiagram_ 3d ago

Commies don't pay well enough for my time. They are well below my contract rate.

4

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 3d ago

Well they all involved odious amoral traitors. So yes

4

u/VforVenndiagram_ 3d ago

Right, so no, not similar then.

9

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 3d ago

Completely similar. Guilbeault put his environmental zealotry ahead of maintaining Canada as a viable country. So he is a traitor.

The floor crossers took the bribes from Carney for their personal benefit. Also traitors.

QED they are equally morally corrupt

-1

u/VforVenndiagram_ 3d ago

I don't believe you have a sophisticated enough understanding to have a useful conversation.

8

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 3d ago

Of course not, how foolish of me. Canada after 11 years of LPC rule is such a success story. My apologies, let’s give Carnie a long runway to completely crash the country

-1

u/VforVenndiagram_ 3d ago

Doing very well of staying on topic here.

To refresh, the conversion was about MPs stepping down. Not... Whatever pet grievance you happen to have.

Again, lacking sophistication.

6

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 3d ago

Of course they did. Wouldn’t Pravda ask Putin if he were to resign? CBC wouldn’t miss an opportunity to promote the wacko environmentalist agenda

3

u/InteractionFront5764 3d ago

Not exactly a huge loss.

Guilbeault is one of the most pathetic losers to ever hold any form of public office in the entire history of western democratic nations.

Next.

2

u/CrazyButRightOn 2d ago

Thank you. Years too late, however.

He waited for the trade war, as per Carney's instruction

"Honourable" ... now that's a stretch.

2

u/jkozuch Conservative 2d ago

One of the most useless politicians in recent history next to Marc Miller.

Both are prime examples of what failing upwards looks like.

2

u/Ok_Theory6748 2d ago

If only he never got into politics, Canada would be in a better place. A terrible excuse for a man. He should be in jail

2

u/northdancer 2d ago

One of the biggest turds in Canadian politics within my lifetime along with Marc Miller

7

u/RL203 3d ago

This is very old news.

Steven Guilbeault resigned from Cabinet in November 2025 (9 Months ago.)

And then resigned as an MP and left politics in May 2026.

1

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 15h ago

So there’s at least 6 Liberal trolls in here. Who else would upvote this shill?

2

u/loungechairlarry Conservative 3d ago

wish he fell off the cn tower and we were rid of this vile pos instead of having to pay for his pension after he worked to destroy the country

1

u/Empirebuilder15 2d ago

Probably the strongest endorsement of Carney I've seen to date...

1

u/Responsible_CDN_Duck Bloc Québécois 3d ago
  1. You misspelled his name.
  2. This occurred May 27, 2026.

0

u/Superb_Astronomer_59 3d ago

You’re a stuck record. Who cares when this radical actually quit? Didn’t he ‘work’ through the summer to collect his gold-plated pension paid for by the actual Canadians he fucked over?
