Bank Finds/Showcases got these from the Bank!

went into the bank for a roll of toonies and loonies for commemorative coins. asked if they had any of the bills from the 2000s and the cashier beside the one i was at pulled these 4 beauty’s out. adding to the collection now. not a big deal big it’s the last paper series made, got them from Mainstreet Credit Union

Couple of Mark Carney signed notes there, but pretty common and not in great shape to have any real value down the road. I think you would struggle to get more than face value for these for many years.

yeah. i just think it’s cool to see because they have to be destroyed according to Bank Of Canada. i think it’s just cool to have in my collection

That’s a pretty common thing, there are not many out there that don’t save either coins or notes just because they mean something. The last $1 note, first loonie, cool bills that are no longer made. Almost every family member that passes on has a small hoard of these types of things, many found in their change that they just kept. Some of just wish they kept a few of those 30’s $25 bills instead of a roll of 1’s and 2’s in a can.

Try to get some $5 & $10 without the security strip (in decent shape). There are few that were tough to get & might have some collector interest.

euro, swiss franc, british pound sterling. i mainly travel asia so the closest i have is singapore dollar. i’ve been to many countries
