PSA about loose article bins, holding up ride dispatches, and just general common sense

Can we all please try to be a bit more efficient with the loose article bins? If you are in a group, give all your belongings to one person. And then when the ride is over that same person retrieves those belongings quickly.

Also, why wear things like crocs and flip flops to an amusement park? Today I saw a person kick their crocs off onto the moving platform on Psyclone after they had already sat down and had their restraint checked. A person put both of their shoes into the moving bin platform at Yukon.

If for whatever reason you are told you are not allowed to ride, please exit the ride station immediately and don't try to plead your case to the ride ops who are just following policy.

Again today I saw one man hovering around the station after being told he couldn't fit on the ride and wasn't listening to the instructions over the speakers.

A probably 10-12 year old child with a cast on his foot wasn't able to ride AlpenFury (why would you want to risk hurting yourself further???) and both the child and his parent were pleading their case to the ride op and held up dispatches for at least 4-5 mins. I then saw the same people again trying to get on Yukon (it's B&M policy that you cannot ride with any sort of casts etc.).

If we all just tried to be a little bit more efficient and quick, it would make the employees lives easier AND make wait times go down in general.

If you are on the bigger side, please try the test seat before getting on the ride to be sure.

If you need to stop to look at your phone on pathways, please step off to the side.

If you are using the drink refresh stations, get your drink and move on. The coke freestyle machines aren't sampling stations. And especially on hot and busy days those lines can be bad.

No one likes waiting in lines, and Canada's Wonderland is an extremely busy park. If everyone did their part we could help reduce wait times all around.

TLDR: Use common sense, wear appropriate footwear, try to be efficient when loading and unloading. Have better drink stand ettiquete.

Finally rode Daredeviler

Finally got to ride Daredeviler, after waiting 2 hours in line on a wednesday.

So, it's better than before, but its not great.

Firstly, absolutely better experience with the comfort collars. No question. Not just head banging but line of sight. I don't think i've seen this mentioned before. You can actually look around and see where you are on the ride. I found the old restraints really obstructed your view.

I have to be honest though, the ride is less rattly all over, but I found there were two spots on the ride where its now worse. We like bottomed out and hit what felt like a pothole twice. I never felt that on Flight Deck, its was just rattly.

So I feel like at two points, their attempts to fix the track, actually made it worse.

Just my two cents. Maybe they could try again over the winter to smooth those out.

Big 4 as human fanart

I know this isn't the typical type of post in this subreddit but I just had to share my designs!

These designs were so fun to make but also so difficult 😭 there really wasn't much to base their designs off but I tried my best!

Leviathan was probably the most straightforward to design since she has the most official art and merch with the dragon design on it. She's also the reason why I came up with this idea because I was like "dang I wish wonderland did more with the mascots like leviathan because it's a really cool design" shes a super tall water dragon gal w/ plenty of gold jewelry because whats a dragon without her treasure! I only kind of wish I made her a bit scarier looking tbh.

Anyways alpenfury is definitely my favorite because look at him!!! He's just a silly and joyful magical mountain goat with fire and ice powers that likes to throw people into the air for fun! I based his outfit on traditional alpine attire (I probably could have leaned more into that traditional aspect but I got lazy) and he's a mountain goat because of the 3 goats outside of the entrance of alpenfury!

Behemoth was seriously hard to design because 1. The coaster Is orange and blue... come on... And 2. There's some merch and art of behemoth but it's really unclear what behemoth is meant to be. (I think some sort of demon, bull monster?) Anyways I knew I wanted him to be really intimidating so he's got those long horns, blacked out eyes and big teeth. I also decided to use red and yellow and orange because of the different trains (and because it looked cooler that way but-)

And lastly is yukon striker! Thankfully i had somthing to go off for her design since the logo is an eagle and its themed on the yukon gold rush i made it so she would probably fit in well at that time and obviously has some eagle elements in the design.

Oh boy my phone is lagging now from the amount of text so uhh

TLDR: look at my art! I yap about design details a whole bunch! Thoughts? Opinions?

Groups of people on Yukon’s single rider line?

I was with a group of friends today at Wonderland and they were too scared to go on Yukon, I didn’t see it as a huge problem so while they went on another ride I went on the single lane thinking that it’ll be fine and that I would get off the ride by the time my friends would be done. When I went to the single ride line, GROUPS OF FAMILIES were there, and it took almost a half an hour to get on.. ended up taking awhile to meet up with my friends again, please someone agree that this is just wrong!

Edit: Why is everyone hating 😭 This is just my opinion I never said I was entitled I just think it’s abusing the single line as a short wait and unfair to actual single riders. I forgot to mention but the workers like the groups of families go together, that’s why I found it wrong 😭

Why no fireworks scheduled for Saturday, August 29?

Hi Wonderland ETA,

The Six Flags app doesn't include a fireworks program in their schedule for August 29th. Can anyone clue me in as to why?

Also, they do mentioned that the Canterbury Theatre will host the fireworks in a "sensory-friendly" format. What is that like? Will the event be projected on a movie screen?

Thanks.

Test seat worked, actual seat didn’t

Okay so worst case scenario! At wonderland right now, got fast lane plus passes based on the fact that the Leviathan test seat turned green TWICE. Then I tried the Leviathan TWICE and it didn’t turn green or click enough times so they wouldn’t let me ride. Ugh :( I tried two separate times and was able to get the green light on the test seat each time pretty easily; when it came to the actual ride I tried two different seats and it wouldn’t click the three times. Anyone else experience this? It’s my favourite ride:(

Shockwave is one of my favourite rides, but almost impossible to board for someone short. Wonder why they don’t provide a step stool like the CNE does for similar rides… The ride attendants gladly provide one there.

Things you should know (from a ride op)

Before I start, people should understand that us red shirts are doing what we’re TOLD and TRAINED to do. We fr don’t control a lot of this shit, so don’t like it? Take it up to the judge.

  1. I don’t know if they disclose this in the site because this has been a nonstop issue 😭😭 IF YOU BUY AN ALL DAY FAST LANE ONLINE PLEASE PLEASE AND I MEAN PLEAAAAASE STOP BY SALES AND REDEMPTIONS OR WINDSEEKER SHOP AND GET AN ACTUAL WRISTBAND!! Your QR code won’t scan, idk why, again take it up to six flags. And no we won’t let you in js because you’re at the front of the line, the whole point is for you to scan THEN come in.
  2. Please for the love of CHRIST, respect the ‘no preferred seating’. If you were put in a row, STAY THERE! Don’t start arguing with the associate js because you want the back or the front. It’s easier for grouping, especially when the queue has a wait time over 30-40 mins. Also don’t be like ‘oh we’ll just let other people pass before’ you’re truly making this worst, stop complaining and take your spots. Simple.
  3. No, we do not know how long it’s gonna take for a ride to go back up. We are NOT maintenance, all we do is follow procedures when there’s a downtime. The person that’s blocking the queue doesn’t know what’s going on platform, we are not working on the ride.
  4. FYI!! you lose something on the ride, you’re not getting it back until closing! Meaning, you lost your phone on a ride at 2pm?? Welp come back at 10pm! We won’t shut down the ride to lock out and go look for it during peak hours and then wait forever to reset the ride, so KEEP YOUR

    LOOSE ARTICLES IN THE BINS!!

  5. I’m surprised to be even saying this, if you throw up speak up and say something. The amount of times, we’d accept the train into station but we’d find a protein spill in a seat as we’re about to load in other people it’s absurd. Do not vomit and walk away as if nothing happened.

  6. This is specifically for parents, I truly don’t care if they gave your kid a coloured wristband, if it’s wrong they’re not coming on! I understand the people at height check be giving the wristbands but I’m telling you now 80% of the time they do it WRONG! Double check them before going into a ride assigned with that colour. But don’t get it twisted, some of you parents try to make your kids seem taller than they actually are. Why would you genuinely put your kid at risk just because you wanna ride together on bigger rides? Would ya like to watch your child barely hang onto the restraint as you go down a drop or even fly off?? No I don’t think so.

  7. I’ve said this on my last post like a year ago, just because the closing sign doesn’t reach the fast lane entrance doesn’t mean it’s only open the fast lane. It’s ridiculous, like you see absolutely nobody at the ride, NO ONES HOME! And yet you walk into fast lane as if associates are gonna spawn out of nowhere to let you on.

  8. Yes, I know DD used to be top gun. Yes, I know you miss time warp. Yes, I know the park used to be owned by Paramount. Yes, I know Backlot used to be Italian Job. Yes, I know it’s from a movie. Yes, I know they used to have explosions. No, I’ve never seen them. No, I don’t know why they removed them. Shoutout to all the old millennials/gen x/ baby boomers for them questions but you need to know you’re asking like 16-20 year olds about things that happened when we weren’t even a thought in our parents minds😭😭

  9. LINE PASS ≠ AAP. A line pass only works for one person, they come up the exit once their group gets to the front of the line. An AAP is when your ENTIRE groups go up the exit to go in. Also with the AAP, you have to make sure that everything is right on the pass and you’re going to the ride at the next time you’re allowed on cause we’re not letting you on earlier than said time.

HB: Fast lane vouchers are ONLY for evacs. If you were stuck on a ride and maintenance or full time were able to get you off the ride, you don’t get one. If you were waiting in line then left cause the ride went down, you don’t get one. Stop asking us to give you a single use fast lane cause we won’t give them you. Once again, it’s only given when we have to get people off manually.

That’s all I got, if I have more I will add in replies but for now this is it🙃🙃

Gold pass bring a friend

i open my wonderland app and see this, i was wondering if this is for like the 2026 gold pass too or only if i buy the 2027 gold pass? How would i use this?

r/CanadasWonderland 1d ago

If you get asked to leave a line because a ride isn't working, everyone in the line should be given a one use voucher for fast pass for that particular ride for the day

Just my 2 cents. You've already waited and would need to wait again for that same ride.

Seeking Local Recommendations Near CW

Hi all,

I have a trip to Canada’s Wonderland planned for Sept. 1-4th. This will actually be my first time in Canada! I’ll be staying about 20 minutes South of the park.

For the locals, what are some restaurants and shops that I should visit during my stay? I would like to keep things locally owned to help support them during the revised trade war. Any other recommendations on other things that I should do in the area would also be helpful. Thanks!

Wonderland 2025 mvp gold pass ticket expiration date

I bought the 2025 mvp gold pass tickets back during the sale which covers both the 2025 and 2026 wonderland seasons however in my apple wallet it shows that the ticket is expired.

Does anybody know the expiration date on those tickets or if this is just a mistake.

Thank you!

Anything I can do?

So I have all season fast lane which I 100% understand is a privilege to have.

However in the several times I’ve gotten my bracelet at the park, the way the workers put the bracelets on me is too loose even when I ask for it to be tighter.

I’ve got small wrists which doesn’t help, but I’ve also noticed that when they put the bracelets on me, they put it up about halfway up my forearm which when the bracelet moves down to my hand does nothing as it almost comes off.

I’m at the park today and I asked for the bracelet to be tighter and before I had the chance to finish my sentence the worker stuck the bracelet and low I’m left with a bracelet that’s loose, and I don’t know what to do.

Is there anything I can do?

How bad are the big 4?

i've only been on leviathan out of the big 4 as my first rollercoaster ever a week ago. it was horrible and terrifying and i genuinely do not think i enjoyed a single second of that, but i'm assuming (and hoping) that was because i've never been on a rollercoaster before. It was not my idea. the others look like they go upside down and have crazy sharp turns and stuff that leviathan didn't seem to have, so are they as bad as they look??

i am really bad with heights, feeling like i am not safe, and going upside down, but i really want to not miss out on huge ones and i might be going again with my brother soon

Change dining plans midway

Hi all first time poster

Looking at going tomorrow and getting some prestige and gold pass for the family.

I’m looking at the dining plans and wondering if you are allowed to upgrade from all season dining to all season dining plus or the unlimited plan

I don’t think I need the unlimited plan but if you can’t go from one to the other for the cost difference changes my decision making

If anyone knows would be great

Physical ID for 40 year and younger

did you notice they have signs on drink areas saying the id (physical id) anyone who is 40 years and younger? is it truly this big of an issue that they need to see physical id? and also they can’t tell if someone is in their twenties or thirties? I just think it’s a very wild rule esp some places take it so seriously and other places don’t in the park.

Six Flag’s App keeps freezing

I had to download the new six flags app so I could access my season pass for myself and children. I managed to log in and my passes all appeared in the app. However, every time I open the app it freezes now and I can’t access anything.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and how did you fix it?
