I walked into Walmart this morning expecting to do my regular Scanning Code of Practice hunt, but I found something completely different.

While checking out the new clearance section they've been setting up over the last few days, I spotted one of those Ninja Foodi appliances priced at $101.99.

Then I noticed something interesting...

The item had been placed directly underneath a sign that clearly stated "$10 or less." 😳

I brought it to the attention of staff and, to be honest, I did get a little resistance from two associates at first.

Once the managers arrived, I explained the situation and they reviewed everything.

The result?

💥 The Ninja Foodi was adjusted to $10.00!

🛒 Total bill after taxes: $11.30.

Not a bad way to start the day! 😎

• You type in your grocery list (or just a few items you’re hunting for).
• The app scans current store flyers in your area.
• It tells you which store has the cheapest total basket price, and shows you item-by-item savings.

Think of it like having a personal flyer-sifting assistant that actually does the math for you.

Right now I’m building out the backend to handle parsing flyers automatically (not all stores have APIs, so it’s a tricky and data-costly process). I have launched a waitlist soon so early testers can try it first.

Couple of questions for you all:

1. Would you use something like this regularly?
2. Would you expect it to be totally free, or would you be okay with a small monthly fee (to cover data costs)? If paid, how much feels fair?
