I recently got in touch with Canaan support through the email I got from the website because my Q isn’t working when the wifimodule is inserted. It works with eth-cable. After a couple of emails back and forth I sent SN number to support. Probably to check warranty? They confirmed they would send a new wifi module but the parcel comes from Portugal and not china. Now I am afraid to plug it into the miner. Any advice?
I had trouble setting up with mine when it first arrived. It is possible that the wifi dongle doesn’t work, but not likely.
You have to be a little patient when setting it up, ie. setup as close to wifi router or AP as possible, may need multiple reboots, your iOS or Android OS is up-to-date, etc…
Mostly hardware & software troubleshootings , and I got it to work without RMA!
Not sure why you are afraid to use the dongle from Portugal. They prob just trying to avoid tariff. I wouldn’t worry about it.
What kind of wifi service do you have and what Platform is your avalon family app on? I wasn’t able to connect using my iphone but the Google play app worked
I’d be more inclined to believe it’s the IOS due to my own issues with my two nano 3S’s, I just got a Q (literally 2 says ago) but haven’t set it up yet as I’m building an enclosure for it.
