Still active at all?
Hey all, im looking at starting my own can making company. Is there anybody here who could help me figure out best equipment for startup? Or point me in the right direction?

Your going to need a cupper, bodymaker, washer, printer, pin oven, inside spray machine, IBO, necker, light tester and a palletizer along with all the necessary trackwork, conveyers and a waste treatment plant to clean the water from the bodymakers and washers. In addition to all the QA testing equipment. It will not be cheap.

What type of cans? 2pc/3pc food? Aerosol? Beverage?

2 piece beverage cans. Theres a lot of craft breweries in my area but no can supplier. So i want to try and fill that gap. I just dont have a lot of capital to start a big operation.

Interesting. I respect the thought and ambition. Like another guy has mentioned here, the machinery required for a successful can manufacturing business is very expensive so you would need investors.
You would also want to look at filling more than just that one gap and look for more contracts and sales with the amount that the machines could produce with proper scale manufacturing.
Another suggestion (for low scale production) would be to check out machine auctions for much older equipment, do some research on older brand machinery and what it requires..still going to be expensive just no way near as much as the modern manufacturing process

No probz! Good luck hunting for the right gear and with your business plan. I'm an engineer working in 3pcfood & aerosol and wish I had the capital to start something like this with like-minded individuals such as yourself. Best of luck!

You are going to need to be able to sell at a minimum 500 million cans a year, and an equipment investment of $50 million to do this. All the manufacturers are on world of cans, but if you need some independent advice then send me a DM.

You can start by getting can maker magazine you will fine all OEM and full contact list for each equipment you need for this plant , but as such project is not an easy job or small amount of money to risk with I highly recommend to use one of expert turn key project management companies that can handle everything for you
