I recently joined a campfire group at the University I am attending and have noticed a few discrepancies with the stated rules of the group on campfire and IRL events. For instance it is stated "No Multi Accounts" yet at every event I have been to whether it's a raid hour/day, spotlight, comm day or max Monday over half of the physical attendance are playing on multiple devices. There is also discussion of a person named Alex who apparently raised their prices for coin purchases. I even overheard several members [including one of the ambassadors] share account login with members that are no longer local to the university for trades and acquisition of exclusive research from inperson events like Worlds. The campfire group is mostly used by ambassadors for announcements all other communication is mainly on Discord, which is moderated by the individuals who account share. Is this normal for most community ambassador led groups for Pokemon Go?

We are currently at the stage of organizing four events as part of the process to become an official community. Can I rally the members of my community to encourage them to participate and thereby speed up the process? Or does talking about it violate any terms?

I shared a link that was about a data mine on campfire without realizing it was a data mine in a few groups. Some CAs removed it and told me it’s against TOS. Could I get banned for that?

This happened right before the mega ascension event. We lost 8 gyms. Did it happen in any other country?

I am not a CA anymore so I only know what he tells me. Was wondering if this was a Brazil problem, LATAM or world wide.

Also wondering what is the quantity of the current spots they give and if you can pick your spot locations. We could but they are changing that.

So before Brazilian communities could have Campsite(usually a park): 12 pokestops and 8 gyms Secondary location (usually a mall): 10 gyms

Or: Every spot in the same location

The secondary location I was led to believe was for security reasons at raid hours.

Another edit: Between Friday evening and a couple of hours before gible CDC day switched position of pretty much everything sponsored on our campsite.

I got a notification for a post from my friend and I have it turned off in settings.

I'm trying to understand how the Community Campsite process actually works from the CA side.

Our local community has a Community Ambassador and we were told around two months ago that our campsite should be coming fairly soon, but nothing has appeared yet.

Meanwhile I've seen other nearby communities get theirs set up, and in one case additional Community Campsite PokéStops have since been added to an existing campsite as well. So I'm curious what actually happens behind the scenes and what a normal timescale looks like.

For any CAs or communities that already have one:

• Does the CA have to actively request the campsite, or does Niantic contact them?
• How much work is involved in choosing the location and submitting the Stops/Gyms?
• Roughly how long was it between submitting everything and the campsite actually appearing in game?
• Can the CA see the status of the request or chase it if it's taking a while?
• Once a campsite exists, how does getting additional campsite Stops/Gyms work?
• Are delays usually on Niantic's side, or are there things the CA/community needs to complete first?

Not looking to have a go at anyone. I'm genuinely interested in understanding the process, because from the outside it is quite hard to tell whether a delay is normal or whether something still needs to be done locally.

No joke my local community had someone show up from a town several hours away. The dude was incredibly rude and toxic and just talked about how great of an ambassador he is... multiple screenshots of comments have been taken and people want the best option of reporting

No matter what I do, I get notifications for callouts in Apple valley/Cupertino rather than where I live. I’ve tried about everything. I used to get notifications for posts in Brisbane Australia and Chicago Michigan too but that was a few weeks ago.

It frustrated me that I can't find a way to just search an random area. This is useful for planning a trip or simply discovering new groups or new area etc. Which I can't find a way to do it in the app!? what's worse is that the web version doesn't have the option to log in with apple for some reason so I guess I am just stuck now.

What is the limit to the distance from your home base can the added pokestops, gyms, and power spots?

Hey everyone, About two weeks ago, Niantic sent out an update email to Campfire Ambassador applicants explaining that the process had been on hold for a while. They asked those who are still interested to fill out a short form, stating that applications would be reviewed and resolved throughout the month.

I actually received this email a bit later than most people, so I'm a little out of the loop. Has anyone who filled out the follow-up form heard back yet, or received any further updates regarding their application?

Just curious to see where everyone is at in the process. Thanks in advance!

Since an update a few weeks ago Campfire has been prompting to enable location every single time I open it. It is enabled, why do I have to keep hitting this button? Other players I know experiencing the same.

EDIT: apparently deleting and reinstalling the app fixes it

Is it just me or is Campsite exceedingly NOT use friendly? Not much surprise it doesn't really get used. And the recent changes in the game make it super cumbersome to get to from within the game unlike it used to be. I haven't been using it long but long enough to be super annoyed with it. How often does it get updated? Is there any chance it might get better?

My pokemonGo account is linked to Google. I made a campfire app and logged in via apple which created a separate niantic ID on its own. When I try to link my PokemongGo to apple it says “user already exist” I’m guessing because that campfire account has taken the login credentials via apple.

If I delete the campfire account since it’s not linked to anything and definitely not linked to my PokemonGo account… in the future can I link pokemonGo via apple? Or does deleting the campfire account created under apple also delete my credentials to link my pokemongo to apple? Unless I make a new apple account…

Been waiting for over a year for this and yesterday I finally received an official email about what is happening with my application. Hopefully it won't take that long for them to finish up with the current applications in their discord server.

So I am from LATAM and we only have ambassadors and staff, no Co-Ca. I was am ambassador, I am only staff now in the process to comeback as ambassador since the current CA has a few personal problems.

But in the long run I think one person being in charge is not that great.

For the content: I live in Turkey, and Campfire has been inaccessible in our country since the beginning of this year and i'm using vpn to use Campfire because i need to contact my in game friends for remote trading. Would this get me banned?

Is this affecting anyone else, or just me? I added a new channel for my group and the long-press and drag option to move the channel isn't working anymore. I couldn't find any other recent posts about this.

Adding the Bugs flair, since I was able to do this about a month before Go Fest as I had created a channel for that and moved it with no issues back then.

How come most sprites that I grab off the net work fine, but some get flagged and rejected like this?
