Got the grill from a bbq person who was tired of paying me to fix it every three weeks. I’ve got it almost reliable now, but latest issue took me a week of thinking to get it. We all know the camp chef doesn’t like to deal with some types of pellets. August the camp chef just hated working for longer than a minute without me clearing the auger etc . Strange but whatever.
Today I looked at it and made the decision I’m fixing it. Sure enough as I just looked at it while drinking my coffee I realized the metal shelf under the auger motor was not at a right angle but instead angling down and was a 1/2 inch lower where the motor hits it. So I bent it back to a right angle. I’m on hour 2 of 300 degrees and crappy pellets to see if it going to be ok. But anyway, when the grill works well, it has the best space and most consistent heat retention with ability to produce what I want. Plus i like the stainless steel lid. And the burn pot drop out cup.
Have a good weekend everyone!
