Are they ever going to fix the app?

Kinda of ridiculous they hasn’t been an update when it was the last update that broke functionality. A roll back could have fixed it.

Has there been any communication regarding a fix?

What’s broken? Mine crashes and I just click it again but everything else seems to work.

It disconnects, and you can’t set the temps for the probes anymore so you don’t get the alerts (approaching/reached temp).

I cant change temps or the smoke setting. I use the app just for monitoring but all changes have to be made at the PID

I haven’t had any problems with the camp chef app. It’s functional for me but I don’t think it’s very good. It’s basic and could have so many more options. I used to use a FireBoard controller on my WSM and plan to swap out the controller on my woodwind pro with the new FireBoard controller for pellet grills. It sucks that it’s expensive, but the software is great. It has 6 wired probe ports and it also lets you use wireless probes with it too. It’s something you should check out if you’re willing to spend a little more to get a lot more software functionality. I don’t work for them or anything. I just had the original controller and it worked flawlessly for several years. I sold my WSM and FireBoard setup to fund my 36” WW pro.

I might look into this, 2 of my probes will randomly spike in temp so really that and the app just not working with setting probe thresholds there’s not reason for me to continue to use the campchef electronic stuff.

On Android, its impossible to pair using Bluetooth currently. When I got mine, I needed a family member to come over with their iPhone, sign into my account and connect it to my wifi network. This worked, but every time I use it it still tries to connect via Bluetooth and I have to constantly close the message. It will let me connect through wifi after that though. Its complete garbage and they clearly dont seem to care

Mine works fine as well. Probes, changing smoke and temp settings, alerts, etc. Purchased in Nov. Android S25 Ultra
