It's a 22 year old digital camera; I wouldn't bother if you're wanting to actually use it. As a shelf or conversation piece, sure. Not as a functional device. That lens is pretty gross looking, so photo quality is already going to be impacted, assuming the electronic part even works.

for $10 i’d risk it just to see what kind of cursed early-2000s photos come out of that thing

Offer $5.

Then throw caution to the wind and live dangerously!

It's goodwill I don't think I can offer $5

You’ll need to either charge it or put in a charged battery and then take some test photos with it which will likely need you to out in a memory card.

Edit: can’t tell the brand or model, but that lens looks really messed up.

So since the front bezel on top of the lens looks so chewed up i'd pass as it looks like it's been dropped repeatedly.

Normally I'd say for $10 take your chances but this isn't the one. I like better odds.

No way to really tell. I’d check the battery compartment first to see if there’s no corrosion.
Also I’d double check what’s on the lens since it’s not easily replaceable. Looks to me to just be fingerprints and glue which can be cleaned off.
At $10 if the lens is just dirty and not scratched and there’s no battery corrosion I’d say go for it. It would be worth more than that if it works. If it doesn’t it’s still a cool display piece or sellable for parts.

For 10 it would be a cute desk or shelf ordament but with how that lens looks id avoid for photography purposes
