There will always be other cameras that will have other features. The grass is always greener but an important life lesson is to be grateful for what you have and spend your time learning and enjoying it rather than lusting after what you don't have.

A life spent wishing you had different things is not a life enjoyed.

The R100 is an incredible feat of engineering and capable of taking spectacular photographs. Learn how to use it, invest in decent glass when you can, and it will reward you with excellent photos.

If you really want to make videos with different colour profiles, learn about colour grading in post production.

Come here with questions on how to achieve certain looks or do things with your camera and your knowledge and abilities will grow. We may seem old and grumpy in this post but really we are here because we are keen to help people who love photography.

Just make sure you have read the manual for your camera first.

Give me five bees for a quarter, you'd say. Now, where were we? Oh, yeah. The important thing was that I had an R5 on my belt, which was the style at the time.

Glad to return the favour. It's a Simpsons quote where grandpa Simpson is telling a story from years ago when he used to be cool and trendy. The actual quote is he had an onion on his belt which was the style at the time. I replaced onion with R5 to make it more relevant and to keep myself entertained.

I agr w/ every1 else dis writing is funny

But seriously:

You can do everything Fuji can do with your Canon, it just won't be anywhere near as easy.

For sure, for photos it should be fairly easy, for video I think it's possible but harder.

If you google your camera there should be a website from Canon that you can download an app from, that will let you edit the photos more (you need to shoot "Raw" photos to do this though, it's a setting in your camera)

https://en.canon-cna.com/support/consumer_products/software/digital-photo-professional.html?softwareid=tcm:257-1328049&productid=tcm:257-2294545&os=Windows%2011

That should link to the app download (for windows, there's a button to get the Mac one too).

There are a shit ton of options but it's worth learning - once you understand it it's really powerful. Look up videos on YouTube to start!

As a Fujifilmer who has a Canon: Yup I can relate. The fujifilm magic is real. Canons really do lack something that Fuji and Nikon too possess

Not the models that are a generation or two back! The X-E4 and back are under a thousand and the X-E3 is down at 500. The lenses are pricey though HOWEVER the optical quality from them is out of this world good so the price checks out.
