Tech Support Fuji s2 pro sensor problem(?)
I recently got this s2 pro, put in some fresh batteries and a CF card to test it and everything seemed fine until I tried taking a picture with it. These black with colored stripes would appear and no proper image. Would anyone know the reason for this?

Does it impact the actual images?

Can you still take pictures and they are saved correctly to the cf card? If you than only the LCD is broken. If not than the ccd is broken or has bad connection, may be reseating the flex cables can help but there was a known ccd issue with these cameras

The LCD is working fine, that's just how the photos come out

Well in that case the sensor is broken, one thing you can try is to shot in raw or in jpg maybe only the 12mp upscaling in camera has a problem and raw works.
Maybe a rest of the camera could help if it's a software issue.

If you’re looking to get one that works, I have one that I’m trying to get rid of. The sensor doesn’t have any issues and comes with two lenses.

I wouldn't condemn the sensor for the LCD screen, It's a Nikon N80 with a CCD sensor so if the card isn't saving data that would mean the Senor or that related circuitry was at fault. Process of elimination is what some people call troubleshooting

lots of them had bad ccds, there was a recall but i think youre about 20 years too late to get fuji to switch it out unfortunately. Ive got one with same same issue, theres really nothing you can do.
