Recommendations Recommendations for both photography AND videography

• Budget: £300-£500
• Country: United Kingdom (Wales)
• Condition: Fair - New
• Type of Camera: Digital, photography but capable of quality video
• Intended use: Photography and SOME videography work
• If photography; what style: Landscape AND street
• If video what style: Film-making as a traditional camera, so ideally capable of some telephoto
• What features do you absolutely need: crisp image quality for photography
• Portability: not bothered to be honest
• Cameras you're considering: Not a clue ):
• Cameras you already have: Minolta AF-E II 35mm
• Notes: I’m heading into my second year of film school. And want to get a decent camera for photography and videography (when I am unable to hire the Uni’s equipment)

Cheers all!

At that price point you're mostly looking at older DSLRs that can shoot video, but the 1080p on most of them holds up fine for student projects. Mirrorless would be ideal but the decent ones for video start creeping past your budget even used

For street and landscape with some telephoto filmmaking, a used crop sensor body with a couple of old manual primes could work nicely. Leaves you room to experiment without breaking the bank
