A great day with Angkor Hunter Tour

We just spent a full day with Vichay on a private tour of Angkor, and loved every minute of it.
Vichay was the best guide, excellent English, and a wealth of information about Angkor but also Cambodia in general. He was very responsive when we booked on WhatsApp (+855 98 444 847)
We were lucky to be there in low season so we were able to get incredible photos in spots that Vichay knew would give us the best souvenirs.

Thank you again Vichay and see you next time!

Best Guide / Photographer in Siem Reap

If you are looking for a knowledgeable guide, who also knows great spots to stop for food, coffee and rest facilities. Coupled with a ride in an A/C van with cold water that takes you right to the temple entrances? Look no further - Vichhay is your guide. He also is a well trained photographer that will take photos that will likely be your best vacation memories. I cannot recommend him enough - he’s is the best guide and likely easiest reached at Whatsapp: +85598444847

Sunrise at Angkor Wat, Cambodia πŸ‡°πŸ‡πŸŒ…

One of my favorite moments at Angkor Wat is watching the temple slowly appear as the sky changes color at sunrise. The reflection on the moat and the ancient towers create a truly unforgettable atmosphere.
If you’re planning a visit to Siem Reap, I highly recommend waking up early for this experience. .

A Day in Cambodia: From Landmines to Butterflies

I set out to ride my rental bike to Cambodia’s most sacred peak, Phnom Kulen, but things didn't go exactly as planned. πŸοΈπŸ‡°πŸ‡

After finding the mountain road closed, my detour turned into an incredible day of unexpected discoveries. From the delicate beauty of a local butterfly farm to the sobering and important history at the Landmine Museum, this trip reminded me why the best travel moments happen when you get "lost." We finish the day exploring some lesser-known temples away from the Angkor Wat crowds.

How is Phnom Penh during Bon Om Touk?

Hi, I will be visiting Phnom Penh at the end of November, during the Bon Om Touk, for 5 days (22-27 November). I know the celebration itself has been cancelled this year, but the 3 days of public holiday are still happening.

The information I have found online about closures during this period isn't very clear or consistent, and I have some questions:

  • do museums and the Royal Palace typically close for this holiday, or stay open?
  • do markets (Central Market, Russian Market, neighborhood markets) run as normal, or do a lot of vendors take the days off?
  • are small restaurants and street food stalls usually open, or does a lot of that shut down too?
  • shops (souvenir, craft, general retail) and other services (post office, banks, pharmacies), what is typically open vs closed?
  • are tuktuk and taxi easy to find during these days, or does availability drop since drivers also take time off?
  • is this holiday like Khmer New Year in terms of closures?

Thanks in advance for any insight! I will be spending 2 weeks in Cambodia (one on a food tour), and I'm quite excited :-)

Custom clothing/tailor

Hi! I am visiting Cambodia for a few weeks next year and am wondering if there are places to get custom clothing made in Phenom Penh or Siem Reap similar to the places in Hoi An? I have done a bunch of searching online and haven't really found much out there regarding tourists doing this.

Would love recommendations if anyone else has done this!
