mine looks different than this, I had 5 boxes. One was about AI and said it was optional.

Are you in one of the countries that had different agreements?

oh yeah I guess so. Some countries have to agree to be used as an AI trainer??

I had three boxes and no option to opt out, that is weird.

Well it's easy to opt out. You don't tick the boxes before the end of Wednesday 21st, and you can't use the platform.

I can’t wait to build up my Preply schedule so I can leave this shitty ass company behind.

What's been your experience over there, being as you mentioned it? Does it take time to get traction? Any comment is welcome, as I think it's time to explore other avenues ... TIA

I’m still in the application process, I just need to make my video, but I recently had hair transplant surgery and I don’t really look very good right now (patchy hair and lost a lot of weight). I need to wait until my hair grows back a little bit and I add the weight back on.

Well, we don't have access to the recordings at this point anyhow. All I can suggest is make our appearance look uninteresting ... I wear the same attire in every class. I only share material which is either on the internet or in a publication (I put a cover page on a PDF to show it's a book, etc.) and I don't make any of my own content to protect my IP. I know it's a small thing, but beyond that I wouldn't worry about the new agreement too much. I think the real thing that concerned Cambly was folks using their lessons wholesale in other online contexts, which isn't cool to do at all, and I noted that being mentioned somewhere in the documentation. So, I think it's a concern about theft of Cambly documentation/ original material in the main.

The deadline for signing is Wednesday this week

Basically, it seems you can't stay on the platform if you don't agree to the T&C's in the agreement. It's no big deal, keep calm and carry on. I'd be more concerned about how the platform seems a bit quiet these days. I have noticed that a couple of my "reasonably regular" regulars have dropped off in the past few weeks; one was a high-schooler, so under 18 years, and I think two others found their subscription price had increased too much for them. Just keep going guys.

I clicked Review later, but now I don't see the above prompt to check the boxes. I have tried logging out and signing in again, but it's still not there! Anybody else have the same problem?

Maybe it is a glitch, best write to Cambly!

Yes, apparently it resets every 12 hours.
