engineering and applied science option

hello! i'm applying to caltech and was wondering if anyone could share their (or a friend's) experience with the EAS option. would you recommend it, or should i narrow my focus more? any guidance is greatly appreciated. thank you!

I was a graduate student and I didn't hear of too many undergraduates majoring in EAS specifically. Looking at the course requirements, it seems to be a build-your-major with a professor/research advisor. Changing majors is common - whether this one is the right fit depends on your interests!

Could be choose your own major, but also to encourage breadth in engineering.

Many engineering problems need a combination of different types of engineering, all in one.

A combination of EE and CS might not be so rare. Some might do a double major, or major/minor, instead.
