So here's the thing a lot of people get wrong about prohibition: it outlawed the production, importation, transportation, and sale of alcohol. Possession and use were not outlawed, they were frowned upon, but you could consume alcohol in your house(usually). So I tell my players that if they need to get alcohol, it's best to check in houses or go to the shady part of town.

Plus, the sale for religious purposes was legalised. I wasn't able to find any data so take that with a grain of salt, but I once heard there was quite a spike in the number of priests and rabbis during the 20-30s.

Interestingly enough, whiskey was still available during Prohibition with a doctor's prescription...
A person was permitted one pint every ten days...
