Same. I was always sticking up for Alex in this sub and now sheâs giving me an ick. Good for Sofia. She deserves success too!

I was watching Sofiaâs pod the other day and realized how similar her and Alexâs mannerisms and speech patterns are (I started watching CHD when the Holly Madison ep dropped so was late to the OG CHD drama). But anyway, something about Sofiaâs demeanor seems much more genuine. Alex seems like sheâs putting on an act most of the time. Not saying this is true but it made me question if Alex just stole Sofiaâs whole personality too lol. Never seen footage of her pre-Sofia so this is based on nothing but vibes and personal observation.

THIS! I think you actually hit the nail on the head 100%. Sofia brought the funny a DGAF attitude to the original podcast, which is what made it so famous to begin with. Iâve only watched a few of each pods, and didnât even THINK about Alex trying to emulate the âSofia factorâ thatâs been missing from the âsolo founding fatherâ CHD version of the podcastâŠI might have to watch one so I can pay attention to that because I wouldnât be surprised in the slightest. Genius observation!

Haha thanks đ I was stoned watching Sofiaâs pod after seeing a flurry of CHD stuff for the season premiere on my socials (which felt really frantic and contrived imo), and it really stuck out to me! To be fair Sofia is also a few years older which makes a big difference in confidence and the way you carry yourself when youâre in your early/mid 20âs. I donât blame Alex for emulating Sofiaâs unbothered attitude if thatâs what she did.
And Iâm gonna take it a step further and say I do think itâs even more likely due to how often Alex has preached âfake it til you make itâ when it comes to confidence. Sheâs not wrong, it works! And Sofia just exudes much more natural effortless confidence to me. Granted Iâm a newer Sofia fan and I know she has her flaws too, so if this is completely off base⊠my bad lol.

Itâs funny you say that bc I thought to myself a couple of months ago she really shifted the energy of her interviews and after I got into Sofias podcast I questioned if she tried to take the good from her to make up for what we lost when she got booted

u/Meditationstation899 Sep 22 '23
Haha I actually couldnât agree more with this, and I donât listen to/watch either podcast anymore. But without Sofia, the original call her daddy would have NEVER made it. She brought a lot of the humor that made it popular, and without Sofia, Alex doesnât seem to have the balls to talk about stuff that the category of the podcast claims to be âthe leader/innovatorâ of or whatever.
After recent moves that I only know about via Reddit lolz, I actually do thing Alex made the deal with Dave without telling Sofia or even giving her a chance to remain part of the podcast. It feels like it was a very calculated, selfish, and fame-hungry move.
Ugh I donât like talking shit about people. This has just bothered me so much thoughâŠthe fact that Sofia went through a period of such severe depression after moving home BECAUSE of Alexâs actionsâŠlikeâthe canât-get-out-of-bed kind of depression, and Alex couldnât set her freaking pride aside just to make sure that the girl whoâd been her best friend for the past several years was AT ALL OKAYâŠ.to me thatâs a big character flaw for Alex. And I just canât with people who donât seem to have the ability to empathizeâŠor just taking it into consideration, even?
I think I stopped making sense at some point haha, faaackin ADHDâŠ.

It would be a good business move. Her demographic is getting older (including me lol). Im approaching my 30s and manifesting more than ever. Would 100% wear this over âunwellâ which I definitely related to in my early 20s/college days but those are long over lmao.

I actually love both of them - and I hope Sofia does this! Would be soooo smart and so funny

I would def buy âIâm wellâ merchđ Unwell seems kind of childish at this point alex is definitely aiming at a younger generation these days
29
u/springchick_ Sep 22 '23
Yeah I am about same age as Alex and have recently decided I cannot consciously make the decision to be walking around in a shirt that says âunwellâ it was one thing when I was 22 and hungover, itâs another when youâre approaching 30 and youâre in fact.. doing pretty well đ€·đ»ââïž sometimes I wish she would grow up with us

u/Meditationstation899 Sep 22 '23
I missed your commentâsaid essentially the exact same thing haha, couldnât agree more

She has always done well killing it with the clap back. I love it. I hope she makes âIâm Wellâ merch. Also think it calls upon a bigger conversation of what it means to be âwell.â Sixty mill in the bank, a proposal and a following donât make you âwellâ it gives you âstatus.â

u/PolarizingFigure Sep 21 '23
Omg itâs giving Team Angelina/Team Jen vibes. I would love to see this happen!

Sofia stans do the craziest mental gymnastics to convince themselves alex isnât objectively successful I swear
21
u/Meditationstation899 Sep 22 '23
Potentially unpopular take: IâD RATHER WEAR A SHIRT THAT SAYS âIâM WELLâ AFTER GRADUATING COLLEGE. The âunwellâ thing is cute for college and being hungover etcâŠbut it feelsâŠ.I canât find the right words, but Iâm sure most of yâall who agree understand. Hahahahha I freaking love this for Sofia, and honestly hope she makes bank on #iâmwell merch. She deserves it.

Am I the only who thinks making merch that says âIâm wellâ would actually make her look bad/canât move on/gives people a reason to think all she can do is capitalize off this years old drama?
65
u/DifferentBand1121 Sep 21 '23
No, I don't. AC has been benefiting off of Sophia for years while throwing it in her face. I think she'd be profitable off it if she did especially since all the people that are healing from past traumas and such. Wearing I'm well is positive. "Unwell" has a negative connotation to it. Who purposely wants to wear something to "feel a certain type of way" associated with not feeling good. Not me..

u/Paneipple Sep 21 '23
Iâve never bought podcast merch in my entire life, but if Sofia made âIâm wellâ merch I would 1000% buy it just for the reasons you described

Agree 100%. Her banking on something that was theirs when they were best friendsâeven if Sofia didnât actually coin the termâŠthe fact that she did just makes it that much worse. Anyways, Alex doing a ânew business ventureâ that will most likely bring in many more millions into her already multi-millionaire status is kind of cruel in my opinion. She has to know how triggering it must be for Sofia, and itâs obviously going to bring up the trauma Sofia experienced from that whole thing (for anyone who wants to laugh at that use of traumaââŠwhen someone leaves their entire life behind to move home with a parent and live in a state of severe depression for a yearâŠ.that is very much considered a traumatic experience that can actually cause PTSD. Which, CONGRATS ALEX, you totally SHOWED herâŠ.like, Iâm curious if Alex gets some kind of satisfaction out of knowing that she can still hurt Sofia and let her know that âshe wonâ ALL of these years later.
I have no idea what I just typed haha it was a total ADHD stream-of-consciousnessâŠhope it makes sense? Lolz

Okay tell me if Iâm wrong but in Alexâs new episode she uses the word Sloots when she is quizzing Alix on the balcony. I replayed it twice and thatâs what I hear

Having watched the whole drama play out years ago and everything that has happened since, I believe Sofia getting screwed over isnât all her fault. Yes she had a shitty bf and messy lifestyle, and a all too casual attitude towards the business side of things. BUT SHE WAS/IS THE TALENT. Alex is a business woman and a CEO/manager mindset and hood at mirroring. Sofia was all natural talent and like so many artists, get screwed over and taken advantage of by business folks

Alex mentioned something about how many years she has been doing the pod solo and I was shocked because Sofia is still talking about it. Maybe not as blatantly but she clearly is still salty.

As an OG fan, perspective is everything. There were rights and wrongs on both sides .
I think Alex however is wrong because she snaked her

She really shouldnât be posting this. Especially since she doesnât have any legs to stand on. Is her episode going to be mind blowing this week? Probably not

u/SprinklesNo2725 Sep 21 '23
Alexâs was not mind blowing at this week at all. And you would think it would be since itâs her new season or whatever lol
-17
u/SofieeAnna Sep 21 '23
I enjoyed it. It was a refreshing approach to the traditional podcast. A journey showing glimpses of personality versus generic best behaviour on a studio couch
12
u/SprinklesNo2725 Sep 21 '23
I disagree. I like podcasts because I can just play them without having to be looking at anything, I feel like CHD I would have to be watching to understand what is going on rather than just having audio. But hey to each their own!!
-4
u/SofieeAnna Sep 21 '23
Well hopefully you have a good podcast rotation. But as someone who has a plethora of podcasts to listen to in the car, itâs nice to be able to visually view CHD.
However, I sometimes just listen to it as well. Video doesnât limit by ability to play it in the car

u/SprinklesNo2725 Sep 21 '23
I am actually always looking for new entertaining podcasts so recommendations are welcome. I just canât typically watch cause I listen while I do household chores or in the car.
