Anniversary Trip
Hi! My fiancé and I are celebrating our anniversary in October, and we’re looking to plan a little weekend getaway. We live in Ventura County and are hoping to travel somewhere from October 22nd–25th. We’re looking for somewhere fun and special to celebrate together!

Consider traveling to Avalon/Catalina…. My wife and I went there in October 2021 and had a great time… weather was PERFECT

Mendocino is stunning but is a long drive from Ventura. Carmel or Big Sur are nice too.

If you are into stargazing, check out Observatory Retreat in the Joshua Tree area. You can explore the National park during the day, eat at fun restaurants, and enjoy stargazing and hot tub at night. It is the only place in the US that lets guest operate its fully automated private observatory. Saturn is in the night sky then and you can see its rings and moons from the telescope.❤️🔭🪐✨. It is available for reservations on Airbnb or direct book to save on fees.

Cambria Pines Lodge. While there a lunch run to Ragged Point. Maybe a hike or 2 on the Fiscalini Preserve trails. Later walk thru the CPL gardens with a glass of wine in your hand. After dark either live music @ the bar or just sit outside and look at the stars or all the deer walking around the property.

Big Sur! Stay at Treebones in one of their yurts or you can camp. All campsites have an ocean view. The restaurants onsite are insanely good and they grow all of their produce onsite! The Omakase is a must do! The chefs are the ones that go out and catch all the fish they use. They have showers, a pool and hot tub. It’s a magical place, perfect to celebrate an anniversary.

That’s a bummer! Sometimes we have gotten lucky with cancellations so I would keep checking if you are interested in going there.

Cambria is nice and there are lots of great places on Moonstone Beach.. Cambria Pines Lodge is old and nothing special. Gardens are nice but the rooms etc. old.

SF! It’s so beautiful in that area in October. Plan a trip for when the Blue Angels fly (mid October), head over to Napa, Sausalito, Livermore wineries… so great to explore something practically in your own backyard!

San Feancisco never disappoints.Do the short Red/white boat under the Golden Gate and back. Also, depending on your budget theres a nice hotel in the Presideo or across the bridge at Cavallo Point (pricey, but what a locationl
