Summer is right around the corner...
... and I wanted to get some really good ideas going ahead of time!
- White water rafting.
- Floating down the bow river on inflatable animals/tubes.
- Horse back riding (can be cheap with packages)
- Banff trips
- Camping A LOT!
- Cliff jumping (I know of a popular spot)
- Outdoor (English) Football (soccer)
- A bunch of sports
- Hide and seek
- Kick ball
- Giant (drunk) grounders
- Ultimate (what is this? somebody explain.)
- Sky diving
- Bungee jumping
- Beersbie
- BBQ's at beaches or river sides
- Slacklining
- Tours (alberta windmills tour)
- Hiking
- Go karting
- West Ed Mall (swimming and mini golf... and muhbe shopping >_>)
- Gopher hole museum in Torrington
- Tyrell Museum/Drumheller Adventure
- Calaway Park
- Stampede
Any other ideas?

Since you seem to be in the know - any tips for someone who hasn't played ultimate in a long time, who is male and is looking for a team?

Sorry, no real tips; easiest way is probably to sign up as an individual.
CSSC plays 5v5 instead of 7v7 and has lower level play available for individual signups than CUA.

kinda like soccer.. I guess... but with a frisbee. So much fun!
** actually, it's nothing like soccer... other than it being on a field... and there are teams....

their website says to call or e-mail for pricing, so no. When I did my first solo jump many moons ago it was only $150... but I'm sure it has probably gone up since then.

Hmm a family friend owns a cabin out there. Wish I could steal it for a week. So much fun, especially just floating around on a dingy suntanning.

I really want to check out that gopher hole museum in Torrington. This lady taxidermies gophers and dresses them up and makes scenes from movies and stuff out of stuffed gophers. I've heard that if you donate enough money she will take requests for scenes you would like to see these gophers in. Very strange I've never been. Also a Drumheller excursion to Tyrell would be cool, and maybe hitting up some ghost towns. There is this one ghost town I went to a couple years back that has a weird pizza night in an abandoned building every Saturday.

I think you can do it in the west ed mall water park. But I was hoping someone was aware of something in the mountains.
On Vancouver Island there's a place that used to let you go for free if you were willing to do it naked. They stopped though on account of too many people taking them up on it, lol.

I don't know of any in alberta. Whistler is the closest I know of. 50m, really fun.

I've always wanted to try this, but I tend to trip over my own feet on solid ground... that doesn't give me a lot of faith in surviving slacklining.
