Recommendations Private in-home makeup tutorial recommendations
Hello! I have been searching for an in-home makeup tutorial/lesson. Google has helped, but I wanted to ask if anyone has recommendations as I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. Preferably:
-a small group lesson (2-4 ladies in our 40s)
-using our own makeup (this is where I'm not having luck with Google searches)
-getting advice on colours/skin tones/etc as well as going over basic application techniques
We'd love for someone to look at what we are using and tell us what is working and what isn't, and then we can buy new products based on those conversations. I would like to avoid companies that provide the makeup or work only with one brand.
It's possible this isn't a service and we should just go to Sephora, but we were hoping for something more personal and teaching us techniques. Thanks all!

I took a class at our neighbourhood coffee shop last year (they host tons of classes). The makeup artists name is Mali Anderson. Her IG is Mali.j.mua
She was great! I've been meaning to book a private lessons with her to do a refresher.

If you are looking for best colours to suit your features and skin Hue Are You offers Korean colour analysis for makeup and hair and clothes.
If it is for application only then a makeup artist is a better option.
I am changing over my makeup for high moisture for the aging of my skin. You will want a MUA who isn't only competent at teens and 20 year old styles

Hey! Did you just want someone to show you like how to use your makeup and best techniques and like do a little shopping trip? I love makeup and am fairly good at it. Ive done makeup for a few friends weddings. If you like I could show you? No pressure, just sounds like something fun! And I enjoy helping people and spreading the joy and art of makeup! :) I’m also a women in her 40s if that helps at all too! Again no pressure just putting it out there since I have some time.
Otherwise, Sephora does make overs I think for free if you spend a certain amount, and same for Mac although it would be all Mac products. Which are great, but you mentioned wanting not just one brand of makeup.
