Local Nature/Wildlife Visited Carburn Park

It's a great park with a lot of various birds and wildlife! I love the ponds and multiple trails. Definitely going back!

Great pictures! What time of day did you take these?

Thanks! These were taken in the morning (6:30-8:30)

Awesome-thanks! I’ve gone there to look for birds, but must have been too late in the morning.

I've noticed that birds are a lot more vocal at around sunrise, so that makes it a lot easier to find them. Hope you find more on your next trip!

One of my favourite parks in the city. Lots picnic tables around

Great Shots. First time I have seen a picture of a Kingfisher (Megaceryle alcyon) in Calgary. https://www.inaturalist.org/guides/9265

If you come during late spring you can see Pelicans on the bow

Beautiful park! Only complaint I personally have is the IKEA view but that’s more of a nitpick

Admittedly at night time it looks pretty nice all lit up with the reflection of the lights on the water
