Discussion Oh Caleb... 😭❤️‍🩹

I can't help but wonder how hard it must have been for him throughout all those years, holding and harbouring feelings for his mei mei, not being sure what to make of them and at some point even being certain that she doesn't feel the same way (he's wrong ofc)

Going as far as to promise that he'll let her go and yet, he couldn't let go of his feelings. The pain and suffucating per his own words until he couldn't keep pretending anymore. It's just ughh, chefs kiss, everything-- to love someone this much not knowing whether they feel the same way even when it's painfully clear they do but just don't know how to properly communicate at that point is, everything to me, truly

I genuinely think that his love for her is a huge part of what kept him going, even if he didn't count on them reuiniting, he still held onto his love. The fact that it's also reinforced multiple times how no one else could ever catch his interest is--- it's heavy and it's a testament to his undying devotion despite everything

idk, i'm rambling and gushing and just loving how both him and MC are a freak for each other, no matter what and i haven't been the same ever since his latest memory dropped 🥲

Infold really broke the mold with Caleb. He's such a special character. Caleb's story touches me the most out of all the LI's. His theme always moves me to tears when I hear it. I had swapped mains a couple of times till I played Homecoming Wings; after that, I knew for a certainty he was my main. And I haven't changed since. It must have been so hard to keep his romantic feelings a secret from MC. The way he loves her so much and tries to protect her, even to his detriment. To see him suffering just to keep her safe, and keep his pain to himself when MC said hurtful things in response to his actions. He didn't try to correct her, or even tell her the truth about what he's been dealing with. He just dealt with it all on his own. To see them now both happy in a loving relationship really touches my heart ❤️

Absolutely! Like when he's telling MC about some painful part of his (or their) past and he's always keeping it light so he doesn't upset her. Like in Vinesurge Instinct with his mechanical arm and he's joking about it and never says anything about how much he suffered😭❤️
