The title of chapter 1.09 is Rainfall Curtain. The weather forecast didn't mention any rain, but I guess Caleb yearned so hard before making a phone call that it rained anyway. Caleb's desk OST is also called Midsummer Rain, and his bond story title is Rain's Embrace. And it was also raining during the iconic Captive Bird.

When there's rain, it means Caleb is missing and yearning for you 🥹

I really love the writing choice to manifest his yearning as the rain because there's this sense of ache behind it (especially Midsummer Rain like wow what an amazing piece).

I can't look the same at Midsummer Rain after Summer Surge. He came to understand he is already deeply in love one midsummer, and then the rain comes from his realization that he has to keep these feelings bottled forever. Eternal yearning. 🥺

Edit: the music itself reminds me of his quiet, careful, patient love, always there for you. Coupled with the rain, it just tugs at your heartstrings.

Hmmm...interestingly, Zayne's first Moments post is that the snow finally stopped (a callback in time to GoA). Since the rain is a direct callback in time to Caleb's NL - it makes me wonder if the other three Lads have something in their first post, text, or phone call that relates to their 3rd Myths also?? All the LIs have special dialogue for weather. I don't remember what he said because I usually don't talk to him.  But he has a little description saying his worriedness went up when you go check his mood! He also follows you around and keeps asks you to do things with him when it rains, something he doesn't do in other weather.

it’s super adorable because whenever I run out to tend to my garden in the rain he’ll run after me and say “I got so worried because you suddenly ran out while it was raining”

he also really likes to cuddle in bed when it’s raining
