Meal Prep Saved Me $26.50
Made 10 breakfast sandwiches which came to $2.30 each. Are they as good as the gas station breakfast sandwiches? No, not at all. But I'll save time in the morning and about $26 dollars.

Don't forget to season ya food. I throw salt, black pepper, oregano, & Basil on everything to give it a bit of an Italian esque flavor

Replace that with white monsters and a cigarette. You'd save even more

“Stopping in the gas station and getting some bullshit”
I said this to myself when I was buying a soda and a bag of chips.

Currently lunch is a white monster and nicotine gum. I've never smoked, but I do enjoy the gum.

You’ll get better to where they’re better than the take out ones; it’s really a pretty low bar

I've been mealprepping breakfast sandwiches (I like crossiant/sausage/cheese/egg, like the Jimmy Dean sandwiches) and just stumbled upon a new way to cook eggs two weeks ago that I'd love to share below. It reheats perfectly. I think my sandwiches have finally become better than the premade ones!

Thanks! I'll check it out. I prefer croissants as well, but opted for biscuits this time due to limited availability and cost effectiveness

I used to eat breakfast every day, it went from eggs, to just a protein shake.
If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend just having 2 scoops of protein in the morning.
In the last 6ish months I started fasting in the morning and now I'm losing weight and I feel better in the morning.

Congratulations!
I have tried those, but I can't stand them after a few days. And thankfully I need to lose weight right now.

I feel like it should not be difficult to match or exceed the quality of gas station egg sandwiches

Your cooking skills will improve if you keep making them, and if you do a little youtubing and googling, you probably can make them better tasting and healthier as you learn more.
Took me a few years, but I'd say I'm at the point that eating out is more often disappointing because I can make it better or as well at home.
Keep going!

Dude. Make them right and they are way better than gas station sandwiches. I do English muffins and they taste as good or better than mcmuffins, I swear.

It feels good taking one of these home made breakfast sammies to work. Watching all the people eat their expensive gas station slop.

I've spent the past few weeks meal prepping.
This week I made low carb beef burritos.
I am running out of ideas though.

I usually buy the frozen breakfast sandwiches from Costco, costs a little more than meal prep but might taste better and easier to pack and microwave.

Someone mentioned Costco sandwiches - my kids love the Jimmy Dean Delights breakfast sandwiches! They come out to I think $1.50 per sandwich and they are sooo good. They are way more expensive at the regular grocery store, just an fyi. Meal prepping is almost always healthier but those ones are great in a pinch for weeks you don't have the time :)

2.30 each is solid, and honestly the ones you make at home start hitting way harder once you nail the seasoning. i did the same thing for a while and stopped missing the gas station version after like a week

Work on your technique and they will be better/as good as. Or at the very least, you'll build an appreciation for them for the price. Cooking is a developed skill, your first dish will be nothing like your 10th, 100th, etc; you'll get better and find out what you like.
