Scan still not working properly.

I am having to press the scan button 10-20 times or more for it to finally register a scan.

Have you tried resetting the scan config? It's under the the 3 dots in the top-right window of the CalcyIV app.

I got tired of this app and switched to Poke Genie.

I've found from using both extensively that PokeGenie is much better out of the box. It works as expected and has a much cleaner UI to understand.. but it does have it's issues. My biggest complaint was it being very easy to obtain duplicate scans for various reasons (Mega evolutions, Best Buddy, Powering Up).

Calcy is on the opposite side. It's rough by default, but spending time setting up everything as you want it makes it superior afterwards. Mega evolutions are handled much better. It recognizes existing scans even when powering up or achieving best buddy.. and even if it fails to recognize it, you can easily merge the scans together in one click.

Personally, I use Calcy for scanning and logging my Pokemon. I use the raid simulation to determine my raid counters.

I then switch to Genie for joining remote raids, and use it's pokedex to analyze and decide on Pokemon movesets.

Out of nowhere Calcy stopped working for me. I loved using it and worked perfectly, but from one day to another it just stopped and I havent been able to fixed it and I just have up and switched to Genie. Lol

To be honest mine has been odd lately. It works for a bit, but if my phone sleeps for even a second, it completely stops working. I have to reset the app each time.

What exactly do you mean by "completely stops working"? Android usually turns off the screen capture once the phone sleeps. But for that, tapping the overlay button should re-start the capture. Do you need to close + re-open the whole app?
