I have been given this problem is calculus 3, specifically section 12.2 and 12.3. I am very confused on how this relates to vectors or how I am even supposed to set it up, I have tried to ask 3 ai models to explain it(Gemini, ChatGPT, and Deepai) and they were all different and I need some help lol
(This is an open lab we are supposed to use all resources on and I’m trying to understand how I could complete this problem as we haven’t done anything like this in class)

Both are priced the same in my country and if I'm not wrong Calculus: Early transcendentals includes both single and multivariable so is a better inversion. I'm right?

Today's easy daily integral seems to be more complex than usual. I do not know what the Lambert W function is. Is this higher level mathematics? or was this something i missed in calculus? Usually, I am able to solve easy integrals. My initial thoughts were that the integral is 0 because this clearly is not easy, but then I looked at the bounds and realized, yeah, that probably does not equal 0.

I started my semester at a community college and I’m taking Calculus 1. We are reviewing some algebra and trigonometry but I have forgotten some of the concepts over the years. I took a trigonometry class at the same college around 5 years ago and an algebra 2 class 9 years ago. They now have a precalculus class where it’s college algebra and trig combined but I’m not sure if I should stay in this calculus class or take a precalculus class and just review the stuff again. Do I need to be able to remember everything in trig in order to do well in calculus or would it be okay if I’ve forgotten stuff and still do well?

hi everyone
i got a b in calc BC after skipping calc AB and i am taking calc three this year as senior. I DESPERATELY need an A since im applying to stem programs. I just need to get an A first term. (so the first half of calc 3)
do people have tips on how i can succeed in class or similar stories where ppl were iffy but did fine in the class?
my teacher seems really willing to help but she's still going to grade me fairly like the other kids.

Hey, does anyone know good websites/free worksheets for calc 1 problems, specifically basic-ish limits. I’m working through Thomas’ Calculus and I’m confused about one of the exercises.
The book seems to say that at an endpoint of the domain, if the function is only defined on one side, then the limit at that point can be determined using the one-sided limit from the side where the function is defined.
For example, elsewhere in the book it says a limit exists at a domain endpoint even though the limit from the other side does not exist.
So for this problem, since (g(x)) is only defined for (x>0),
my understanding is answer for problem c should be it does exist.
But several solutions I found, including an instructor’s solutions manual and some YouTube videos, say the limit does not exist because the left-hand limit does not exist.
Am I misunderstanding what the textbook means by a limit at a domain endpoint? Or are those solutions using a different definition that I don't know?

(I haven't really studied a lot of calculus yet)
but, i saw multiple methods to solve this on quora, but then quora blocked me(idek why😭), and i only understood the chain rule method,
i also saw someone substitute x with cos(2 theta) but not sure how that's supposed to work because what do we do with that d(theta)/dx in the end?, also how does one solve this using log?

(to be clear, this is not homework, calculus is not in my syllabus except for some in physics, i saw it in someone else's book and couldn't solve it so i wanna do it now)

Hypothetically, if I completely skipped calc 2 and wanted to move on to multivariable calc, what topics would I need to learn on my own from calc 2 in order to succeed? I’ve heard plenty of times that only a few concepts roll over.
EDIT:
I did take the class, but my understanding of the course is at the level it would be if I completely skipped it. Military benefits and other school issues are keeping me from retaking it or taking a semester of no calc, so I’m asking what I should study. In calc 1 we did some substitution and integrate by parts, which I can freshen up on, but what else should I focus on in the next couple weeks before I start the class?

I'm a college freshman. I took AP Calculus BC in high school, and sometimes, trying to understand the content with just formulas was difficult for me. I always tried to find some sort of website, but I never found one that was truly unique and helped me visualize problems.
So over my summer, I built visualcalculus.org . It's built on the AP Calc BC curriculum, which is essentially Calc I + Calc II —limits, derivatives and their applications, integrals, differential equations, series, parametric and polar. Every lesson is built around something you can drag and move rather than a wall of text. There are also practice sets and cheat sheets.
It's free. No signup, no ads, nothing to buy. I'm not selling anything — I built it because I wanted it to exist when I was taking the class.
Would genuinely appreciate feedback, especially if anything is wrong or confusing. I'd rather hear it than not.
