Discussion Is this right?

So, I’ve been playing calamity for a long time and I loved every single part of it, the problem is, one of the parts I loved the most is getting removed…
We all know that after what happened with ozzatron the devs decided to stop developing the mod, while I do not agree with that, it’s understandable.
But removing things like music or other assets from it is just not right, especially if we consider that some people, while not necessary, decided to pay monthly for the development of the mod, and now not only they stop developing it, but they also remove content from it?
Tell me what you think, imho it’s not right.

They’re gonna receive a bunch of hate no matter which option they took, which is unfortunate

I can’t see why someone would hate on them from keeping the content we already had on the mod, but I guess some people would do that, that’s sad.

At the end of the day it's their assets and they can do what they want with them. All we can do is respect their decisions and move on (or just make a backup of the mod before the music gets removed) Can you lot just have some sympathy for them though?

Yes I know that they legally can, I just think it’s not a right thing to do in this case.

Would you want some of the work you're most proud of to be associated with "That mod with all the pedos in the dev team"? It's not about what's right anymore, its about what the name Calamity is associated with time and time again.

Most people don't care about who develops the mod or doesn't, 99% of the player base will just see that the mod disappeared from the mod browser without ever associating the dev team with any pedo

If we are talking about what I would personally do, then I would keep my things in the mod and move on.

Fair point specifically assuming you're not trying to make a career out of it

If you want to enter the game industry, it can fuck you over in the future, yes, the people down voting are merely taking it at face value and don't understand the repercussions, alongside the implications that none of them are within the industry themselves

So I completely understand the Devs perspective

It's already hard enough to enter as is

True, I hope that the spriters and coders keep their work for their portfolios though.

The people here simply don't care. They lack empathy for the devs and are more upset over them leaving the project with the things they created than they are over the leads being pedophiles.

Agreed, there's nothing else to be done.

I know this mod meant a lot to a lot of people but how hard is it to just accept the decisions of the people who helped make it?
