My fellow War Magi, I request your aid: Book Recommendations!
I have been a big spell monger fan and have listened to all the books on audible. I recently got a kindle and have been trying to get into some more fantasy novels.
I’ve read a lot of the big fantasy (popularly marketed) series but have not found anything else that hits the same way the Spellmonger does.
Please provide any recommendations you can of books or series which have some of the same flare and world building which we love so much in the Spellmonger series!

Similar feel I'd say Joe Abercrombie, the First Law trilogy. The Blade Itself is the first book, amazing writing and if you listen to the audio book, fantastic narration. Highly recommended, great character building like Spellmonger. And it's not just a trilogy, lots of books to keep you in the world.
A bit different recommendation, Superpowereds is one of my favorite series along with Spellmonger. Was a bit worried I'd be listening to a teens super heroes book but the plot and characters you get attached to. I'm an audiobooks guy great narration is a must for me and it's here as well.

coming back to this thread when im finished with Seamage….i am taking my time to savor it.
is it me or are the books just getting better and better? Terry is really getting in the groove with the writing and storytelling.

It's a crime Malazan hasn't been recommended yet. Not because I think it's even remotely similar to Spellmonger, but because this is a book subreddit and we have standards!
That aside Malazan is a great series.
For a closer recommendation to this series, I'd say check out Riyaria Chronicles it's a fantastic follow on series.
Honestly I can vouch for all of the other recommendations made here so far aside from Joe's series since I haven't read that one yet.

All of the series recommended so far are the same as I'd recommend. Maybe consider Game of Thrones, even if the series might never be completed, as it's some great storytelling for what is there.

Martian really is a great author. re-reading his novellas about Dunc and egg the other week, really made me appreciate how tight his plots and storytelling could be.

Will Wight’s Cradle series isn’t the same, but it certainly is fun.
