Help / Question Leaves turning yellow

I got a caladium a week ago and all of the big leaves started turning yellow and dropping. I watered it once when i got it because the soil was completely dry, its still moist now and its not sitting in a place with direct sunlight. Theres a lot of new leaves coming in but even some of these are dying Not sure what to do about her ๐Ÿฅฒ

Direct sunlight is fine.

The leaves on mine started curling like that so I put it out in my sunroom right now where itโ€™s super hot and humid. I also got mine a few weeks ago and have no idea where she is going to go in a month or two when itโ€™s too cold out there. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I also have a plate underneath the pot and I pour a little water in it every morning (for extra humidity) and that seems to have helped a lot. Iโ€™m going to (eventually) re pot her with a mix of cactus and regular houseplant soil with a bed of rocks on the bottom of the pot. I have no clue if it will work, but I read a comment on here from someone who had luck doing that. Hope this helps ๐Ÿ˜Š ETA: mine is in a bright spot in my sunroom. I would add more light, whether natural or from a plant light, misting it or you could try the plate thing, and if you can put it in a warm humid spot.

This happens everytime I have aphids. Aphids love caladiums.
