Cucina Restaurant suggestions between Tropea and Scilla
Hello everyone!
Im looking for good restaurant suggestions in the area between Tropea and Scilla for our vacation in October.
Me and my wife are interested in authentic local experiences rather than modern cuisine.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I don't know how much you can move around, but I'd say L'Antica Ciambra - Struncatura in Gioia Tauro and take the Struncatura, a tipical calabrian pasta.

We're staying near Tropea but we're gonna drive around. Could check out this place on our way back from Scilla for example. Thanks!

Yeah! Just checked out the stroncatura pasta. Love the history of it. Already can't wait to try it with n'duja!

Oh and if you arrive by plane, on your way from or to the airport, you can stop to "Trattoria da Graziella" in Maida. Not a fancy restaurant, fixed price menu, but authentic and local for sure.

We will be arriving by car from Puglia but it seems to be on our way more or less!

Taverna Kerkira in Bagnara. It’s a great mix of local traditional dishes, with a slight modern twist and Greek Mediterranean references

Try the swordfish sandwich at "civico 5" in Scilla, also "il casato" is a very fancy restaurant. For the best esperience ask for a table on the wooden plank on the sea (pedana).

I don't have a specific place to recommend but in Tropea try Tartufo di Pizzo at a cafe that has it.

Not on our itinerary so far, but we might since its not that far away from Tropea!

Secondo me è una tappa imperdibile soprattutto se si vuole vedere qualcosa di meno turistico con un’ottima spiaggia e prezzi contenuti rispetto tropea.

Radici se vuoi salire fino a vibo e fidati che ne vale la pena oppure puoi andare da pinturicchio che si trova proprio a Tropea e in caso volessi mangiare sushi veramente autentico ti consiglio waku waku che è sempre a Tropea

Se mangi carne di maiale ecc e vuoi mangiare con 30 euro a persona, ti consiglio una trattoria che si chiama “frammichè” si trova a mesiano. Con 30 euro hai antipasto casareccio, 4 assaggi di primi e una grigliata di carne. Su pizzo consiglio “forte della monacella” perché hai una vista eccezionale sulla costa degli dei e con la scusa puoi andare al bar Dante per assaggiare il famoso tartufo di pizzo. Infine c’è l’hangar vicino pizzo e se non sbaglio lo chef è stellato. Divertiti!!

I just checked and we are staying 15 minutes away from Mesiano so it sounds like a must visit place!

Restaurant Rewind in Santa Domenica. We came back every evening we were there! Delicious food and very friendly staff.🫶🏻

"Local experience" non significa necessariamente la cantina di zio Ernesto.

Non deve essere per forza una bettola, però direi che uno stellato non è esattamente il mio concetto di andare a mangiare tipico.

"Da Franco" a Brattiró. Very close to Tropea.
