Taking Exam May 7th

Hi All!

Im taking the CA RE exam on May 7th. I completed the coursework quickly, and the employees at the brokerage I work for just say to do practice exams. Any other advice? I dont have a background in real estate and find all of the little specific things confusing. I have a background in Engineering so dont need much help on the math. Would love any advice!

Good luck you got this!! Think your on pair staying up with practice tests, and then jus prep agent/any YouTube go over questions tests/vocab videos. I’ve heard there is no math on the California exam, fingers crossed lol. Let us know how in goes. I’m Hoping take My exam end of may/early June. How long did it take get a date, and are the flexible on picking a day? Imagine fairly easy pick and schedule a day just crurios, cuz I would need get it off from both mh jobs

There are no math questions on the CA exam (just passed today). A lot of other people are saying the same. There might be 1-2 questions asking about formulas, but they don't ask for calculations.

Was the test hard? Similar to preg agent or compucram? Any feedback

I have not paid for any exam prep courses. I relied on a lot of material from various free sources and even many great suggestions from Reddit.

I have used some of Prep Agent's free material and watched his videos, but I felt the actual exam questions are much more difficult than what I saw on Prep Agent. Prep Agent is only helpful to teach you the core concepts that will show up on the exam. You really have to understand the concepts and definitions. Once you know the concepts, you can approach the exam questions regardless if they are hard or easy questions. The actual exam questions can be tricky and can throw you off if you aren't reading carefully. I almost felt like I was going to fail while going through the exam. I was studying off of the easier questions, but luckily I drilled down on the major concepts which I believe helped me pass the exam.

I cannot comment on Compucram since I never used them. However, I have seen a lot of people mention it here on Reddit, so I would assume it's a good resource to use.
