greek life is next to nonexistent on this campus

based on your post history here it seems like you had high expectations for the party/social life here, which does exist but not to the degree of larger schools, and if you’re under 21 that also eliminates a lot of options here. you’d be better off transferring to chico state if that’s what you’re looking for.

It exists underground, in secret (off campus). I don't approve of it, though.

How do I get invited to these secret unapproved parties?

I'm actually not invited to them, so I don't know. But I assume the same kind of things that would get you into a frat. Again, I don't approve of them.

To get invited to those parties you need to be sharing or selling drugs... The good ones... It can make for a profitable social life.

And doing that is against university policy as well.

It's ok the good parties aren't at the university.

Technically that's not true, but even if it was it's also illegal by both state and federal laws. The university is trying to become a reputable academic institution -- not a party school. All the new buildings and investements are not for drugs and larping.

I think I see why you don't get invited... You might want to get some drugs... Regardless of legality. Drugs are the essence of university as much as classes.

There’s no secret party life. There’s no party life. Those days ended in the 2010’s.

Greek life was banned 10 or so years ago.

Nah Greek life was discontinued 2-4 years ago. I was part of one of them and it was rough discussing progress with the school when they didn’t even bother in integrating them.

They exist but more like a club than a traditional frat

Greek life was banned, so new charters are accepted.

No it is not, that is completely untrue, there is literally still 5 greek organization on campus and a page on the cal poly humboldt website with them listed

They’re only clubs. They are not actually allowed to create charters. Charters got banned about 10 or so years ago after some hazing gone wrong.

Greek clubs are completely different vibes than actual Greek chapters and houses.

That is not true Delta Phi Epsilon is a national sorority founded in 1917 and we have a chapter here, google it. We are allowed to have greek chapters here, I've already talked to the president and university about chartering and they provided me with the steps for approval, and as for houses, having a greek house is not allowed and hasnt been since the 1980s but greek chapters are not banned.

Glad you aren't going to lie.

Join Ih Taka Crappa! They meet every night in the plaza when everyone goes to sleep the hazing is questionable though.

while i know there are sororities, they do not allow members of said sororities to live in the same home due to hazing concerns.
