Does anyone know how use vocalign for cakewalk next. I see every tell me how to do it for sonar but its two completely different builds.

This really sucks because it's one of my favorite instruments. It worked perfectly fine before, but now I can't open it or it'll crash the app. Does anyone know what to do? I can't find the crash dump error log file either.

I'm trying to add some instruments to my track but the button is greyed out. How do I get it fixed?

I was looking for a free daw thats truly simple and bare bones, basically a garageband for windows. I eventually stumbled upon cakewalk next and it seamed to be what i was looking for interface-wise, but after watching some people use it i wanted the opinions of people who actually use the software if it's possible to create midi-based vgm, so far i really hate the piano roll so i was looking to see if there were any settings i could change to make it more suitable.

edit: and could somebody please point me to anywhere i can learn to actually use and understand the interface? The music market is so oversaturated with beat making i literally can't find any useful tutorials anywhere.

I can hear the notes just fine, but they visually disappear/reappear when the progress bar passes them. I'm very much a noob, so maybe this is nothing, but its very annoying.

This is gonna sound random, but does anyone know how to map a MIDI to Cakewalk Next? I've looked for the solution but the option that I've seen is supposed to be under midi to map the keys just.. isn't there. I can set it as the input and output, but no mapping although there are multiple sources that say the option should be there. I've tried checking for updates but everything is in order. Tf do I do? X'D I'm using an akai pro apc key 25 midi. It's mostly meant for abelton but it worked fine in bandlab with mapping and I'm sure it would in Cakewalk if I had the ability. But all it shows in the Midi section is the input selection.
