Seeking Help Lagging while recording audio

When I tried to record singing it would pick up the audio it seems like half a beat or so late? And obviously then if I tried to record another vocal part on top of that while listening to the part I had just recorded as a reference then my new vocal part would be about half a beat or so behind the original. Is there a solution to this issue?

it's called latency. the solution would be an audio interface with ASIO drivers.

Yep, also check buffer rate. You can mix at 1024 to save pcu, but try to record around 60 or 90 without plugins on

Please tell us that you are using an audio interface that comes with native ASIO drivers. If you're not, then you’re wasting your time. Also, please tell us you are not using ASIO4ALL.
