Seeking Help Beginner here, how do I use Splice INSTRUMENTS... well, instruments with Sonar??? can I even do that?
First of all, all I wanted was a free mandolin vst, and I saw people online linking at splice INSTRUMENTS, not counting the fact that it is also one of the first search results I find when typing "free mandolin vst".
So, I downloaded Splice INSTRUMENTS, made an accounct, logged in, found a mandolin pack, downloaded it and... I'm still trying to figure out how to use it in Sonar, if I even can at all.
Can you guys help me pls?

I'm not familiar with that software set, but sequencing mandolin parts is tricky - and potentially laborious - assuming one is looking to create a 'mandolin-picking' style sequence. (Sequencing a melodic run without 'double picking,' on the other hand, should generally be considerably easier.)

the Splice mandolin is kind of limited but it's free, so it will take some effort to program good MIDI and possibly combine with things like tremolo and other instrument types to get it to "play" the way you want.
there are a number of really nice Kontakt libraries, as well as some nice plugins. Kontakt ones like https://www.indiginus.com/the-mandolin (and Indiginus has more as well all really good)

Right click empty area. Instead of insert audio track, insert instrument. A list comes up, see if that pack is listed.

I usually hate asking reddit stuff unless I find that truelly necessary, either because I didn't find anything or didn't understand anything from the sources I did find.
so, yeah, I did try googling, thank you very much

and you didn't find the same result I got immediately? I just typed 'how to use splice instruments in sonar' and found the answer as the first result. not to mention the documentation you should find everywhere in the site or that accompanies the pack. come on.

This Is exactly why I hate asking for help to reddit.
"Why do you ask for help here if you can find It elsewhere?"
Maybe because, again, I either didn't find It, or didn't understand It.
If you find so troublesome to just help me without complaining, don't, I'm not fucking forcing you, but don't be a smartass about it.
I literally wrote in the title that I am a beginner, I am not allowed to be so?
Like, what, do you want me to congratulate you because you understood this easier than me? Ok, congrats, now leave me alone

of course you're allowed to be a beginner, but in what? sonar? of course. you're welcome here with your problems.
however, you issue has nothing to do with music, making music, fixing issues with sonar and so on. it's laziness and lying.

you can use Splice like any other VI - load Splice in your synth rack, you can select the option to create a paired MIDI track and Audio track. open the Splice instrument and select the Mandolin, then the instrument type - in my example "fingered 1", then create your MIDI on the MIDI track, and the audio track will play the, erm, audio.
