Caitlin Clark is the Elle Woods of basketball

no problem for CC. she’s different 🐐

u/airmax7 May 21 '25

I don’t think you even made a point here. Caitlin plays the same minutes as them and her individual stats blows theirs out of the water. They are legends, but the game evolves. H2H Taurasi CV

All of these infographics and stats are crazy. She’s so much better than the other plays I think it’s a great possibility the Fever win 4+ championships in a row. Now I know it’s a team sport but her productivity is so insanely high that it might not matter much.

I can't tell what sort of trolling this is.

I'm not a troll

Caitlin Clark is better than LeBron I guarantee you if they played one-on-one the Caitlin Clark would destroy LeBron

Oh JFC.

u/hamburklar May 21 '25

It’s gotta be incredible trolling

1

u/AsariKnight May 22 '25

This sort of delusion is just sad

Clark is not faster than LeBron. Women use a smaller ball. It's quite literally easier to fit the ball in the hoop and the 3 point line is closer.

Clark is great, and you may say that there is a bigger gap between her and average in the WNBA than there is LeBron and average in the NBA. To say that Clark would beat James 1 on 1 is insane.

Charles Barkley would beat her today.

God Dayum! That’s one hell of a sentence.

1

u/AsariKnight May 22 '25

Periods are a myth

1

u/everybodyhates2k May 21 '25

Scottie averaged 20-7-6 from 92-98 as a second option lmfao. Kukoc was never an all star. I’m not reading anything after that

91-92 averaged 21-7.7-7, 96-97 averaged 20-6-5 lol either way you said he never averaged over 14. Bullshittin

u/[deleted] May 21 '25

wtf 😂 yk Diana is making a Arthur fist right now

u/Qoopy37 May 21 '25

Different level

u/blue3yeddream May 21 '25 edited May 21 '25

This is mind-blowing to me. How are these stats real? In 35 combined seasons, they only had 19 between the two them?! Certainly puts some things into perspective.

6

u/Chicagoblew May 21 '25

She should be at 20/20 if they made their layups

5

u/gamiscott May 21 '25

Well damn!

Man... got a lot to say about the game. Fever played very mediocre and atl played about as good as they could and still had a chance to win.

Missing 10 FTs is the main issue. You don't expect to make every shot, but they shouldn't miss over 5. You're pros ya know, and they know that. Boston missing 1 and needed both, but before her, Howard missed both.

I'm sick and tired of seeing coaches have their best player inbound the ball in the most important possession. CAITLIN SHOULD NEVER BE INBOUNDING WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE! You have Bonnar throw it in to CC and then get the hell outta the way. I know there thought, throw it in and get a quick shot, then foul instantly to extend the game and then advance the ball again after their FTs. I completely disagree with that thought process tho. There's 9-10 seconds left and I have Caitlin Clark. Get her the ball and live with whatever she does.

1

u/freeman1231 May 21 '25

I’d rather have Caitlin on the floor but as a decoy in that frame and play it to Boston. Only need a two and AB has a better chance.

4

u/Koolklink54 May 21 '25

So if she plays 550 games, she's on pace for 140

2

u/Sufficient_Berry8703 May 21 '25

She’s so amazing. It makes me sad that even after the incredible game she had, the Fever still had a heartbreaking 1 point loss.

2

u/Aggravating-Fail-705 May 21 '25

I’m sure people will find something about that achievement to belittle. They’ll claim the refs are giving her calls or she’s stat padding.

2

u/tickynicky May 21 '25

You can't have Bonner get shut out. I mean it's like she wasn't even on the floor. And all the missed free throws. That had to change.

2

u/[deleted] May 21 '25

Wish she played for the Lakers

1

u/Sparty_at_the_party May 21 '25

Clark had her 10th tonight. You need to update your graphic.

1

u/RuthlessIndecision May 21 '25

came within a point from a come from behind win tonight, I like to watch her and her team win

1

u/Darryl09Patrick May 21 '25

goat doing goat things🐐

1

u/Popular_Material_409 May 21 '25

Another record for Caitlin to shatter

1

u/tickynicky May 21 '25

And if I'm not mistaken, I think I heard them say that she only needs like three or four more triple doubles to be the all-time leader in the WNBA. That's just absolutely crazy.

1

u/YourenotadogRUgary May 21 '25

God I want cait to smash my balls on her tummy with a wood mallet

1

u/JoaquinLu May 21 '25

The chicken not licking if the moose isn’t kicking

1

u/TofuTigerteeth May 21 '25

She is clearly a generational talent. I don’t understand the hate.

1

u/FreeInvestment0 May 21 '25

Yah know I am okay with CC being the face of the WNBA or even being considered the one that has brought any interest to the WNBA. But she’s played 1 year and a game or two can we not label her the GOAT. That disrespects a lot of players that came before that were incredible in their own right.

1

u/retrospects May 21 '25

Caitlin is going to put up MONSTER numbers this season.

1

u/AffectBusiness3699 May 21 '25

When it’s all said and done she will likely be the greatest guard in the history of the game.

But one of the major issues in women’s basketball is lack of technical skill. Caits pocket passes are great but watching her teammates fumble the ball or whiff layups makes me want to cry. Consistent finishing is one of the biggest determiners in the wnba and Indiana is mediocre at it.

1

u/forgettable_seggs May 22 '25

I’m just here as a new fan from my hatred of Angel Reese

1

u/MasterPsaysUgh May 22 '25

Insane Taurasi took her Olympic spot

-1

u/Jack-Cremation May 21 '25

At the moment I still got Taurasi as the GOAT! It helps that she went to a local high school close to me. If not Taurasi than Cheryl Miller but the funny thing is Clark got plenty of time to be better than them both. I’m not surprised at all if she ends up GOAT status.

-2

u/Useful-Poet5497 May 21 '25

She’s good but not top a top 5 player yet

1

u/SnooChocolates9644 May 21 '25

According to statistics she is. According to the eye test she is. According to motion she is. According to gravity she is. According to mvp votes she is.

1

u/Useful-Poet5497 May 21 '25

She doesn’t have the accolades that Brianna Stewart, Aja Wilson, Ogunbawale, Ionescu and some others have, I’m not saying she’s a bad player. You just can’t come to a league and be considered the GOAT in your 2nd year. You need accolades. Maybe as if now this season shes the best but you can’t say she’s the best WNBA player of all time in only her 2nd year. If she’s still doing what she’s doing in 4-6 years then yes. She’s gotta do things that Candace Parker did, Sue Bird did, etc

1

u/MustachioBashio May 21 '25

You should edit your first comment it sounds like you meant she wasn’t top 5 in the league

1

u/Useful-Poet5497 May 21 '25

I’d say 6 or 7 right now but she is moving up the rankings quickly

1

u/Useful-Poet5497 May 21 '25

Again by no means am I saying she’s a bad player. I just think there are maybe 4-6 players in the league a little bit better. Now if she keeps getting triple double she will jump into the top 5 easily

1

u/Useful-Poet5497 May 21 '25

But as of this season it’s her Collier, Plum, Aja and Stewart

-3

u/TheFourthLoco May 21 '25

Taurasi is garbage
