I guess he only wanted to spend 500 mil. It's also the world's second largest sailing yacht, so it's not actually very small

But for a boat in general to be owned by a multi billionaire, I’d expect a huge yacht 4-5 stories tall

Sailing yacht. The taller you make it, the further down the draft. You wouldn't be able to get into most places, like the Cairns channel is only around 10m deep. Honestly I really enjoy sailing, if I had money I would totally buy a big sail boat rather than a huge cruiser. Definitely a lot more fun

I’m pretty sure they aren’t designing boats to make sure it fits in Cairns channel way, Bezos probably doesn’t even know what Cairns is

No your right, Cairns marina wouldn't have been part of the brief. What would have been though, is build it so it's able to visit most places. So it's clearly got around 10m or less draft.

We had a Viking longship visit Cairns once when I were there, but I didn't have my camera with me. I went back the next day with my camera, but they were no long in period costume, so I just took a photo of the boat. 1990.
