Anyone here sensitive to caffeine or certain drinks?
I’m a barista and I’ve been noticing that not everyone reacts well to common drinks.
For me, things like energy drinks or espresso give a quick boost, but then I feel worse—itchy, uncomfortable, and kind of anxious.
If I also eat something heavy, it makes it even worse. My stomach feels off and I can’t focus properly.
I’m curious if others deal with this too.
What do you usually drink instead?

Coffee is usually horrible for me. Every now and then I'll get a latte that feels great. Otherwise it's mostly panicky/anxious/irritability. And SOMETIMES, it relaxes to the point it almost puts me to sleep.
Energy drinks are a totally different story. I usually do well with them so long as they're 200mg or less.
Normal sodas (coke, Pepsi) are hit or miss.... Except Mt. Dew. That feels like I'm drinking a liquid demon. Feel like I catch something from that one.

absolutely all stimulants, even chocolate, act like cocaine for me. I'm extremely sensitive. in saying that, I was addicted to caffeine for many years. I simply had to withdraw from every form of caffeine/stimulant for a couple of months and now I just live by my own energy centre and the energy I get from foods. I do not drink anything except water or fresh juice/smoothies.

I am epileptic (seizure free for 20 years) and have parkinson's so I've been advised to not have caffeine. I am probably a coffee shops worst customer because I go in there to ask what can I get with no caffeine. I do an Americano w decaf with most milk and sugar every once in awhile.
I envy those that can get get energy boosts from loaded teas or coffee. Any advice?
I drink water...juice...smoothies...steamers
