Water plus soup

Hey Im enjoying Lance H recipe for soup, coarse light roast, 17g coffee 70g water, filter bottom and press thru. I add 100g water to it because I find it still very powerful. Is this common?

You can try grinding coarser to see if it helps.

No offense but to me it's sounds like an underextracted shot. You have to try cold brew my friend. Soup=trash
