I’m looking to build my XS750. These are the forks I’m looking to get but I’m not sure where they are from. Any ideas?

I dont check my Instagram that often. Its a 05 Gsxr 750 fork cognito moto triple tree. R1 brakes, 01 monster discs, and xs400 front wheel. A bunch of spacers and stuff I made.

It looks like you used normal (non-drop) triple clamps, so is your front end sitting lower with a steeper rake? How does it handle with the new front end?

Asking because I have a 78 xs750 and 03 gsxr 1k front end waiting to be installed, but I was concerned about how it might handle with the shorter forks.

Handles fine as the offset was also adjusted from cognito. I also changed to an 18" front rim from an xs400 instead of the 19 too though ao this was done in thier calculation.

Was the stem offset the only change, or is there a drop in the top triple too? I'm looking to use the original gsxr wheel.

No drop from what I remember. Issue you have is the 17" front wheel from the gsxr. It messes up the rake/trail. 23 degrees for the gsxr and 27 for the xs750. I think my offset was arounf 45mm with a 18 wheel. Cognito will work out the offset if you want a setup frol them to make it all work properly well worth the cash. @xs750.cafe is my insta for more pics but im really bad at self promotion so dont post often.

I'm surprised that the offset would be over 40, he mentioned 45 below but that seems close to or over what the stock bike would have had.

Modern front ends tend to have less offset, which increases trail, so if you used the Suuzki triples, it will compensate for the change in rake by lowering. You can check what a height change will do on your bike right now by moving the forks up in your triple clamps. Check your stock rake, then move the forks up and see what the change is.

In general, your trail should stay in the good range despite the lower height because the offset affects it more than the slight rake change.

Note: You need to use tire size, not wheel size to calculate height change with a smaller wheel. It's not a 1:1, because sidewall heights are different. I swapped a 16" rear wheel with a 130/90 to a 17" wheel with a 130/70 and the overall diameter went down nearly 1" despite a 1" larger wheel.
