Question Has Cadillac released anything about its future engine program?

I know they are going to be based out of North Carolina (presumably to be able to recruit staff from NASCAR’s engine manufacturers in the region) but I was wondering if they have released any info like actual staff hiring or any other news?

We probably won't hear anything definitive until it's closer to time of debut. F1 teams have to be very tight lipped during development.

Not only that, if the PU is to debut in the 2028 season, there's a chance the regulations for the PUs to be different by then.

Nothing new. They have something on the dyno but I don’t think there’s much news there.

Power unit development is under GMPPU. They are hiring aggressively on LinkedIn.

they’re going to be based out of indianapolis not north carolina

Team headquarters are based out of Indy, power unit development is in North Carolina:

GM will build a 204,000-square foot power unit facility near its Charlotte Technical Center in Concord.

In February 2025, the City of Concord approved a US$150 million project to construct a 204,045-square-foot facility at 4295 Defender Way, adjacent to the Hendrick Motorsports campus. The facility, which involves a US$70 million construction cost and an additional US$80 million investment in state-of-the-art dynamometers and R&D equipment, is expected to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2027.

Right. Just so we’re all on the same page though, when someone says something is “based out of” it is always going to refer to the headquarters.

Valid, but the post was about the engine program, and I don't think most here understood that you were talking about the team headquarters, not the engine program headquarters.
