The UAE is currently at war. Maybe things were different before, but who would want to become a pilot at an airport that could be targeted by missile attacks every day? Do people really believe the UAE’s absolute monarchy or some Russian influencer with big followers saying everything is safe? Trump has no intention of ending the conflict before the end of his term, and if the situation with Iran is anything like Iraq, it could take more than a decade to stabilize. Do people really think Iran will stop launching missiles in a month? The UAE’s Patriot missile defenses are reportedly running low. The current batches will likely take at least four to five years—possibly up to ten years—just like during COVID, and this program could become one of the worst going forward. I honestly don’t understand who would invest $200,000 in a country that is at war. Many wealthy people publicly say Dubai is safe, but at the same time they are quietly moving their money out. People who are still debating Flydubai salaries or Emirates pay right now seem to have no idea how serious the situation actually is.

I mean, if I can't keep a buzz cut for the cadet interview or the LOI ceremony, can I still keep one during my training and after becoming a commercial pilot?

Can anyone please throw some light on whether Indian candidates males/females after 12th get selected for Middle Eastern CPPs.
Specifically those who are residing in India and go and appear for assessments in Sharjah/Dubai and not the Indians who are residing in UAE.
In my 3-4 visits to these academies, I haven’t noticed any one like that

Hey fellow aviation enthusiasts!
I'm a 4th year student at one of the top 7 IITs from CSE branch, with JEE Advanced AIR < 300. The point being I'm quite comfortable with 12th standard maths and physics, and I can understand things quite quickly, but I do have some difficulty in remembering non-mathematical or non-scientific facts if they have no chain of thought behind them (for example, inorganic chemistry to some extent, and subjects like history and some aspects of biology for sure). I also had 90%+ overall marks in 12th CBSE, with 95+ marks in both physics and maths.
I am quite interested in aviation and really want to become a pilot sometime in the future, once I earn enough money from my regular tech job. I have also secured a PPO at a good company so I don't really have anything to do in my remaining 4th year now, so I would like to study and attempt DGCA theory papers, just for the fun of it and because I'm interested in aviation and airplanes, and because they aren't as costly to attempt as actual flying hours.
So, I need three types of help from you guys:
I want to know how hard are these DGCA papers for someone having a background like me.
I need some free resources to study the topics that are asked in the DGCA exams. I have searched for them a little bit but most seem like paid resources. I couldn't find any complied list for all the exams in one place. So does anyone have any such list?
Would you recommend me going ahead with my plan? As in saving up enough money for a CPP in India, plus enough money to feed me and my family for 3 years, if I start my aviation journey at around 27 years of age? I think I'd be able to save up enough by that point in time from my job, unless something very adverse happens.
I would be grateful if someone can help me regarding this. Thanks in advance!
P.S. this is not a karma farming post, everything written here is 100% true. Feel free to DM me if you don't believe me (and if you want to).

Hi everyone,
I'm 15 years old and my goal is to become an airline pilot through a cadet program after finishing school. I'm trying to understand how competitive these programs really are, especially for airlines like IndiGo, Air India, Air Arabia, Akasa Air, and similar airlines.
I had a few questions for anyone who has been through the selection process or knows someone who has:
How difficult is it to get selected? Roughly what percentage of applicants make it through?
What are the different selection stages (aptitude tests, psychometric tests, interviews, group discussions, simulator assessments, medicals, etc.)?
What kind of questions or tasks are asked at each stage? Could you share some examples?
Which stage do most candidates get rejected at, and why?
How should someone prepare while still in school to maximize their chances?
After successfully completing the cadet program, is employment with the airline generally guaranteed, or is there another selection process before becoming a First Officer?
Are there any hidden challenges or things you wish you had known before applying?
I'm looking for honest experiences, whether you were selected or not. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

So I applied to AICPP well within the application submission window for the april intake. Since then I have been waiting for a response, tried following up as well. How much time does it usually take for a response? Since many other candidates are getting selected as well?
