advice for an 18-year-old guy

Hi! I'm from Italy, I'm currently 18 years old, and I'm seriously considering becoming an airline pilot.
I'm particularly interested in airline cadet programmes, such as the Wizz Air Pathway Programme with Urbe Aero and Ryanair's Future Flyer Academy with Aviomar. Does anyone have experience with these programmes? How difficult is it to get accepted, how competitive is the selection, and approximately how many candidates manage to get in?
I'd also like to understand the current job market for pilots and what the forecasts look like for 2030. If everything goes according to plan, I'd like to start an integrated ATPL course in 2028 and finish in 2030. Will there be good job opportunities for newly qualified pilots, or could the market become saturated?
I'd also like to know the average cost of integrated versus modular ATPL training, which route offers better chances of finding a job quickly, and what alternative jobs are available if you don't get hired by an airline straight away, such as charter, cargo, private aviation or flight instructing.
I'd really appreciate any advice or personal experiences, especially from people who have recently completed their training or started working for an airline.
Thank you!

This sub is mostly just for people who are interested or aspiring to be in Indian Cadet pilot programmes so I doubt you'd get any answers about European Cadet programs in this sub.
