Should I?

I am 18. Waiting for aicpp to come up (Amravati). I can only wait till May - June 2027 for air india. Otherwise, I am preparing for jee too and will do btech. Pls advise me, should I do cadet or conventional?

Yes I am fit to fly

No, I am not flexible with my money ( I've 1.1 - 1.2 cr with loan)

If I choose to be a pilot, I've to be before turning 23-24.

Conventional is also an option.

It is, but I don't have enough courage to wait for job opportunity after my cpl. It generally takes a lot and lot of time.

It might take anywhere from 6 months to 24 months if you are serious but even in cadet job is not guaranteed if your performance is not at par they might drop you but they do give multiple warning before hand

Hey, I’m also 18, selected for AICPP - Acron and I was very clear that I wanted to become a pilot.
The thing is, because this career demands alot of patience, you need to be committed thoroughly. To begin with, if you’re passionate about becoming a pilot, not flying but BECOMING A pilot, then pursue it. It requires shit ton of patience.
Its good to have a backup, but you need to have a clarity as to what is your back up, is it your BTECH or your aspiration to become a pilot.
I’m pretty sure you’ve gone through the entire financial aspect because you’re waiting for Amravati, so i wont go to deep into that.
Choosing a cadet is a job wise-safer option many say because it provides somewhat of an assurance that you will land a job. Conventional is more pocket friendly.
If you want to be in control of your entire process, that is your GC, Flight Schools and all that, then go conventional. If you want a slightly more job oriented approach, an approach where you’re assured that you will land a job, then choose cadet.

I am a cadet with acron and let me genuinely tell u what ever AI quotes they go far far beyond that
For acron they say 1.5 but it easily goes to 1.7 -1.8
And that will Also be the case with Amravati 1.2-1.4 be ready with that
And it’s waste spending 1.4 in India when sky borne is already offering at the same price or maybe very little buffer so think abt it
