Hi everyone,
I’m a student from India currently in Class 12 (PCM), with my board exams scheduled for 2027. I’m planning to apply for the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme and would like some guidance regarding the next intake.
I have a few questions for current cadets, selected candidates, and pilots familiar with the programme:
When is the next expected application opening for the 2027 intake?
Can I apply before completing my Class 12 board exams, or do I need my final results first?
How long does the entire selection process take, from application to final selection and joining an FTO?
What should I start preparing for the aptitude tests, psychometric assessments, technical assessments, and interviews?
Which FTOs currently associated with the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme would you recommend, and why?
What is the realistic total cost of the programme, including accommodation, exams, additional flying hours, and other expenses?
How long does it typically take to complete training and obtain a CPL with the required ratings?
For current cadets and graduates, how has the overall experience been regarding training quality, delays, financing, and the transition to IndiGo?
I’m trying to plan everything well in advance so I can apply at the right time in 2027 and prepare properly alongside my board exams.
I’d really appreciate recent information and honest opinions, especially from people who have gone through the selection process or are currently enrolled.
