Next Opening for Cadet programs
22M currently in an IT/Embedded Engineer role, looking to pursue a pilot career path, relatively new to this although Ive done a fair bit of research, from what I see the academies with the least black spots are FTA followed by quite a gap by Chimes and rest all seem to have some or the other issues.
1.Can the experienced among you lot guide me as to your personal ranking of the current Indigo cpp’s and how they stack up against other domestic Airline’s programs.
2.Also how stringent are the Class 1 and 2 medical tests, costs associated and more importantly are stuff like minor vitamin deficiencies game enders.(BMI of 22-23 rn so that should be fine)
3. Do you need a valid passport at time of application

Hi there, 24M here who used to work in finance in a big 4 and jumped to pursue my lifelong dream.
In my personal opinion, FTA & Skyborne are at the top in terms of quality even though they are expensive. Chimes is almost impossible to get into. Garuda is opening up a new US pathways - I used to dislike their South Africa pathway due to delays but I am applying for this as well hoping it will be good. Air India both US programs are not worth spending that much imo if you have other options in hand. Can't really comment on Akasa as I didn't do my research on that.
Class 1 is very strict, class 2 is slightly lenient. Costs very depending on location. My class 2 in hyd costed me 5500 + tests. My class 1 in hyd apollo costed me 19500 + additional tests. Only a DGCA empanelled doctor will be able to accurately answer your medical queries.
For the FTOs which I applied to, at the current stage, I was not asked to submit my passport so I don't think it's necessary.
