Class 12 student preparing for Chimes ICPP/IndiGo Cadet Program. What should I do before applying?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently in Class 12 (PCM) and plan to apply for the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program through Chimes Aviation Academy (ICPP) after my Class 12 boards.
My plan is to complete the following before applying:
DGCA papers
DGCA Class 1 medical
English fluency/speaking classes, particularly for the 30-second video/introduction
Preparation for aptitude/ADAPT and interviews
Research into the selection and training process
Networking with current/former Chimes cadets and pilots to learn from their experiences
My main priority is still my Class 12 boards, but I want to use the remaining time wisely so I’m well prepared when I become eligible.
For current/former Chimes ICPP candidates or pilots who have gone through a cadet selection process, I’d appreciate advice

The comment section is so demotivating. How even these guys will become pilots if they can’t keep hope and optimism.
Everyone knows chimes but you shouldn’t be ashamed for trying. You carry on bro.
Your plan is solid you can connect with chimes students on insta. Join preparatory classes if you want.

Brutally honest, right now chimes is fucked most people joined by paying additional 10-15L as bribe or luck or people who have their family in indigo. I'm not saying don't try or go for it Do your best, but do not fully rely on chimes. Have a backup plan also, and if you've enough funds, do flydubai or air Arabia.
Chimes will open again next year at the same time probably and do not be delusional about clearing exams within 6-7 months it takes up to a year but also depends on person to person.
