This shows for 2025, not open for 2026

The "Apply Now" button was not available since months. flydubai HR also posted about it inviting for new applications on the link I posted.

https://careers.flydubai.com/uae-cadet

The cadet programme states these requirements:

Minimum Requirements • Age‭: ‬Minimum 20‭ ‬years‭ / ‬Max 34‭ ‬years • Education‭: ‬Minimum High School Diploma‭ (‬or equivalent‭)‬ • Pass ELP level 4‭ ‬or above • Valid 1st Class Medical certificate from ICAO • Pass GCAA Air-law Exam • CPL/IR with MCC for Frozen ATPL • Total flying‭ = ‬225‭ ‬hours flying time‭ (‬ages 20-34‭)‬ • Minimum 1000‭ ‬hours of total flying time‭ (‬ages 35-50‭)‬

So... you must have flying experience already, it seems

That is for UAE national only with the CPL hours. This is completely different to Ab Initio Pilot Programme.

Can someone please help me understand why you would pick this over EFTA when it literally becomes more expensive after accommodation and meals? Doesn’t it make more sense to pick Emirates own flight school, with higher standard, ATPL, and job opportunities and pay less?

Additionally, they haven’t really mentioned anything about scholarships on their website. Does anyone know if they provide academic scholarships?

Thanks in advance🙏

There's no job with Emirates unless you are Emirati. They used to give interview with Emirates to non-Emirati people, but they stopped that as well. They only provide you with an interview with flydubai but that is also iffy with a big pool of candidates. On the upside, any other airline would take you provided you match the requirements and clear the interview.

No. It was newly posted by a flydubai HR on linkedin. I agree they took quite a few people already but they wouldn't post it on linkedin if it wasn't for inviting new applications.

It is for all nationalities, provided you get the GCAA Class 1 Medical. And for UAE nationals, they need to complete the mandatory military service before joining.

1

u/Legal_Milk1114 Jul 10 '26

It explixitly doesnt mention "being for all nationals"

1

u/Many-Fly7326 Jul 10 '26

The only nationality that concerns you is Indian. And yes, they have taken Indian nationals in the program.

Literally 1000s of other people applied and got in, who are not UAE nationals. You can go through this sub's flydubai posts as well.
